View Full Version : Does Oleg fly full real?

Was wondering if those fortunate enough to spot the developer of this sim flying online, found him in a full real server or arcade settings?

Second question is, could his flying preferance be indicative of the settings that you are "supposed to fly" or the settings that the developer intended to be used?

The video from the contest in China showed the champions playing with icons. The only reason I mention it is to tweak all the full diffulty guys.

He used to be very regular at Ubi until demands on his professional time interfered.

I think icons were used for obvious reasons, there were many spectactors.

GK, yes - Oleg flies Full switch http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Ivan, most of the screenies I've seen were taken by people he'd shot down when he flew regularly at Ubi, just so they could prove they'd been shot down by Oleg.

I'd guess there's not many screenies of him in full real as you need externals enabled to take them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Icons were used because there were spectators. I can asure you if there were no need they wouldn't have been added in the match.

the only time i seen Oleg Maddox online , all the opposite colour were after him & when they were not , Everyone was firing questions at him

that alone would be enuff to stop me flying online

all the more reason to fly without icons on... they won't know he's oleg.

i personallyl like mostly full real, with just limited icons on (just aircraft type, no colour indication) on a good server with nationalised planesets that gives you just the right amount of information... too much and there can be no element of suprise, no icons for me is just too frustrating, and it hurts my eyes craning at the screen... maybe oleg has a very large sharp monitor?

i came across Oleg in the air several times, early in the UBI servers. They were not full of course. This doesnt mean much, since i like full.

As I understand it, the competition in China had icons enabled for spectator computers Only. The computers used for the competitors did not have the ability to adjust the icons (not mapped to HOTAS), which were turned off. I only mention it because I'm curious if this means the full real guys tweaked you?

Of course he flies full real.

He simply jumps into his personally marked la-7, conveniently parked in the Maddox garages and recreates the great battles of WW2 in civilian airspace!

He also catches mg 151/20 shells with his teeth and loses 5kg of sweat every time he flies combat. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
