I have Il-2 Sturmovik. I think its very good and fun.

Is Il-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles so much better that I should get it??

What kind of addons are there and how much more and better stuff are in than the original?

If you add another at least 256 of RAM (I`d recommed 512MB) you will be fine.

Yes, IL2 and IL2 FB are two different prducts, you can uninstall IL2...or you can leave it there...up to you.

Pay addon is coming in January with many planes. I can`t find that link... search doesn`t work...ack

FB is definetly worth it for all the different planes you can fly.

With FB you can get blasted from the sky by a Russian tank while trying to dive bomb him with your Stuka or you can ditch your He-111 torpedo bomber after getting your engines shot out by a destroyer or you can bail out of flaming Me-262 after your engines catch on fire or you can have your Hurricane's windscreen blasted to pieces chasing a Ju-88 or... er, umm, well you get the point.

very much so,the main reason is that you can skin each ac to look like the ones the aces flew, you cant do that in Il2 sturmovik.its really cool and worth every dime.

Yeah Talladega. I bought the first one. Played it for about two weeks. I noticed a lot more people flying Forgotten Battles. Ask the same question as you did this evening. Got the same responses as you have. I bought it the next day and I haven't regretted it the least bit. I keep the original on my computer to go back and play it every now and then. You can tell a big difference when you do that. But yeah. Buy it and enjoy! S!

Get the sim you will love it. IL2 is good if for no other reason it is a classic and always will be. I still fly it sometimes. Get at least 512M of RAM. Your video card is OK... I had one ....BTW..... Welcome aboard....Hmmmm Talladega....is that a ........Lakota name? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Ditto to that. This is the best flightsim I have played hands-down. This is just a superb product, simple as that.
Helps that I just upgraded to new machine after a P3-450 for 4 years. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

First thing I did was buy Logitech wingman 3D and forgotten battles! haven't looked back.

Go get it! Be sure to increase RAM , 768 or 1 Gig. It will work on 512, but you are on the edge....

There are two coputer games you can´t live without: IL2- Forgotten Battles and Operation Flashpoint. Things to do for years.

There goes the siren that warns of the air raid. Then comes the sound of the guns sending flak. Out for the scramble we've got to get airborne. Got to get up for the coming attack.
