Oleg or Dev Team,

I know you are extremely busy with your kid and work. If you happen to stop by, I'd like to ask you a question about how the carriers are handled as air bases. I am assuming they are fully moveable ships as the moving ship objects.

If so how is the takeoff and landing handled in the .mis file syntax?

I ask you this because I'll have to do some re-vamping of my UQMG engine to handle carriers for PF UQMG. If possible, could you e-mail me some sample PF mis files to me?

uberdemon@uberdemon.com

Is there a possibility of adding a little code to IL-2 that interprets a UQ directory to display UberQuick Mission Generator in the country selection? Currently UQMG uses the NN directory for country None.

As always, hope all is well and thank you for your time. I sent you an e-mail. If you get time to read it, I have another question.

"Is there a possibility of adding a little code to IL-2 that interprets a UQ directory to display UberQuick Mission Generator in the country selection? Currently UQMG uses the NN directory for country None."

I was told from the guys over in the PF forums, that in dogfight missions the carriers will have to be stationary. Kinda dissapointing frankly, but alas, the corsair calls!

Build a man a fire, keep him warm for a day...

Set a man on fire, keep him warm for the rest of his life.

A bump for U-Demon, however, I'd lay dollers to donuts that you would have better luck writing an email.

I think you may have answered part of my question. If in DF they are static, I could only think of two things:

* There are two versions of the carriers: moving and static, just like in the other ship sin the FMB... which is good.

* or... the ships are part of the map and are static... but I don't think it is the case. Looks like DF will only be able to have static objects as it is the case today.

If the first option is true, then it would be nice if they could at least model the movement due to weather/waves, but whatever they give us I'll be happy.

Anyway, my speculation... I still would like to know the sintax of the waypoints handling a carrier.
