Just wondering if the first patch is an iminent release or whether the summer is a more likely date?

Oleg said it would be out within a short time of the AEP release. Probably the European release.

More important to me is that the patch adds loadouts to the new Spitfire IX's coming, fixes the P-51D-20 skin problem, fixes the Me-162 engine problem, possibly rocket packs for the P-51's (HVAR for the D-20 please!), and loadouts for the Hurricane if possible. Little things in terms of detail but well worth it if possible.

AEP is an absolute blast...when the patch comes out I'd love to have the last of the niggling little problems like those above fixed/added. If that takes a bit more time, I'll gladly wait...I love what I've got in the meantime! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ivan the not-so-terrible, eh?..

Your posts - Ivan - are nicely concise and to the point BtW.. I think "brevity" is the correct term for it, no?

Well, if UBI were/are waiting until AEP is released everywhere before making the patch available you'll have to wait until at least April 8th. That's when AEP comes out in NZ. (No we aren't that far behind - Australia got it on the 17th of March, and our shipment comes from the batch sent to them, but because our Censorship Office takes about three weeks to classify anything. So be glad people - at least you've got the game before the patch comes out. I don't fancy our chances in NZ at all....)

So, if they are waiting for that, on behalf of all three of the NZ fans who haven't pirated a copy off the 'net (I'm one who hasn't), we profusely apologise for any inconvience we're causing. Thank you. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

With all that said, I hope we get some non-US aircraft in the patch. That's not a dig at the Yanks, just that they've got more planes in than Italy, Britain & France combined, which seems a tad daft considering it's Battles over the European continent and all that.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif Now, if I could just find out what the stuff in AEP was like without pirating.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Sorry AH_Solid_Snake mate, it was me who claimed to have the "beta patch," which as ivan knows I don't have http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif Just my version of a little humour to ease the growing anticipation for additional planes and fixes.

Please note had this been a real patch announcement I wouldn't have made it because I would have been too busy enjoying it! So I guess the next time that I don't make the announcement I'' have it? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif

Hey Ivan, can you do me a wee favor? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I see the beta patch is out. Can you give me an idea just how large it is? I bet it is pretty big, but I hope it isn't huge. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

If it is, I'm going to have to find some way to download it. Perhaps I can talk the techie at my school into burning it on a CD.

That'd be the fastest way. Or perhaps, have one of my friends do the same, and mail it to me. Man, I wish there were better connections available to my area :P
