Haha, guess you missed the old threads. It didn't go as well as suspected, but still went ok.

Even better news just happened though. My new head coach is a scout for the Texas Rangers http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

He has been working with my mechanics and I am already throwing harder since the fall season began. At each practice, I do my arm exercises, do 900! crunches, longtoss and run 3 miles. By spring with hard work I will be 15 pounds heavier (of muscle, not beerfat). I'll give it a go after this year but with this new coach I am extremely happy and getting drafted looks like a better possibility than before.

Glad you were thinking of me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/heart.gif

LMAO, aside from you being a tool. What are your pitches? I used to play a little ball, although I was a center-fielder converted to a closer. I threw hard as hell, but wore out outside of 2 innings of work. I had a wicked Fast-ball that I threw side-arm and over-hand, and my other pitch was a nasty slider. Makes me wish I had continuesd with it instead of going in the Marines, but I would have never gone much past college I think.

I throw fastball, a 12-6 curveball, and a decent changeup. I used to have a slider but it got kinda phased out. Maybe I should make it my 4th pitch...

Coming out of high school i was throwing upper 80's, maybe very rarely hitting 90 mph. I throw slower now coming from an arm injury freshman year, but I think (*hope) with a good lifting program that I can break into 90 again.

Hey Owlsphone, have you read "Moneyball" by Michael Lewis? Great book about baseball, just finished it.
