A while ago someone made an entertaining IL-2 movie about a German motorcycle running for home, with an IL-2, IIRC, trying (and failing) to stop him any way he can.

This story brought back fond memories:

Guess the situation isn't as fictional as I reckoned. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Was something like it in irak part 1, The bridge with that motercyclist.... Can see Gen. Schwartz (donno if i got his name right, no disrespect just donno) said something like

"this must be the most lucky man on earth"

Some smart bomb was dropped and u ( hell u saw it) u can just see that guy pooring on the coal to make it.... 900.000$ or so bomb and this guy on his bike makes it (wow.. bet he could enroll in the angels with ease)

To be fair the bridge isnt gonna tell nada and that was the target, but that would spoil the story.
Would like to have that motor though. Must be bought by the usaf.. put on display..with words like "Holy Moley.. so we do can miss.."

ohh and hook the story with the p-47 with it.
Lets keep those fly boys a bit sharp :-}}}

love that p47 story. thanks

Gen. Carl Spaatz: "I'd rather have an airplane that goes like hell and has a few things wrong with it than one that won't go like hell and has a few things wrong with it."
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!
