Hey guys,

I'm writing an essay for school comparing and contrasting the LW and VVS throughout the war and analyzing their respective impact on the course of the war.
I picked up a bunch of books from the school library for research, but they aren't exactly what I wanted (for instance, one was published by the VVS.. not exactly an objective sourcehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif), so I wanted to see if you could suggest any particular books on the subject.

I have: Red Phoenix
German Air Force vs. Russia in 1942
VVS in VOV (WW2) in original Russian
and something like The Fall of the Luftwaffe (the books aren't near me at the moment, but it was something like that)
I also have indirect references like Fighter and general WW2 sources, but they're not that useful.

Thanks!

'Air War Over Russia' by Andrew Brookes, ISBN 9 780711 028906.

It cover the air war from an operational and strategic level, so tells you how the airforces impacted on the war rather than being full of fighter pilot anecdotes.
