Hello!

Tried to contact you via Email but had not received a response.

Could either write me back or post here what software solutions you used and their settings for filtring the RAF voice pack? It will help much your input.

Best and kindest of regards,

Nikolai

Hi Nikolai,

Didn't get your email yet but I can tell you what I did here.

I used Cool Edit Pro 2.0 software to do the editing. It comes with quite a few built-in filters for this kind of thing. One of them is called FFT filter which allows you a lot of scope for cutting and boosting frequencies. It also comes with some presets. I used the "telephone - voicemail" preset, which gave the same kind of frequencies you'd expect from an old-fashioned radio set, as a starting point.

Another cool thing that it can do is normalise tracks to the same volume as another track. I took a sample from the US voices to use as the reference to normalise the RAF voices against.

You can then use the program to create a batch script to process all the files.

Hope that helps,
Hux.

Thank you for the input. I do have CoolEdit Pro 2.0 and will try your pointers for something that Extreme_One is cooking in the backburner http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
