u've gotta be chittin me.......no p-38-F at the very least? the H model was the 1st of the 38's to have the dive brake installed. and we've just gotta have the 38-j-Lo...the fastest p-38 built.

I'm confused? All those planes obviously aren't for PF. I take it the European ones are Battle of Britain. But then some look like there for an addon for FB like the Do335 and P-80A with wing tanks (since if these planes saw combat it would've been long after the BoB)... Anyone know?

that confused me for a bit but i geuss there projects that have dyed out or will come in later patch. it would be nice to see the do335.
if you go to www.il2db.com (http://www.il2db.com) you will see the v2 wich is another object of question

The old jg777 database is extrordinarily old and out of date. I would take none of those images as proof or example of anything.

For example, the P-80A images were some of Gibb's early P-80 renders. He modeled a P-80A, but Oleg backdated it to a YP-80.

The Do-335 was also something Gibb was working on. He handed it off to somebody else and its current state has no connection to those shots.

Other stuff, like the Havoc and B-25s, either got funneled over to PF (I think), mothballed, or dropped.

In other words, that site's out of date by a lonnnng stretch.

I do hope the TBM Avenger & Kate make the flyeable list..would be a shame to leave out as
both were important planes used extensively in the PTO ..Ki45 & 46 would be great add-ons , like IL2 FB tho , I see more birds being added later on.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Can't forget the Ki-43II, heard rumors it is AI, would really like to pilot it, would be nice to have some armor on a Japanese plane for being so early.

Ki-43-II as AI only? Come on, that would be like having the A6M2 flyable and A6M5 AI only...

Well, I hope it isn't only ai, but it had some structural differences, like the wings being 300mm shorter. So it takes some work to make the Ki-43II in the game, but I dunno how different, if at all the cockpit was.

unfortunatly the difference between the cochpit of a Ki-43-I and Ki-43-II are huge http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

so, cross fingers.

Pretty sure the TBF Avenger will be flyable. It seems as if the "Kate" will be made flyable in an early patch if they can't get it up to speed by release.

TBF Avenger, well I was at the Australian Flight Expo where they had a demo of PF. Talked to one of the testers and asked about the Avenger, hoping that it would be flyable. The answer was "in this version (meaning the demo that we were watching) it isn't, but it will be".

Lets hope that his comments are the way it will be when it goes gold.
