Now that we have a full selection of allied planes, is it possible to change the speedbar so that it provides imperial measurements? Everything you read on the Spit and the Mustang is in imperial - and some of us math-challenged types find it hard to do the conversions in the middle of a dogfight!

If not, I think this would be an easy fix in a patch!

Try turning the speed bar off, then you'll have no conversions to make http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Turn the speed bar and the hud off. Get use to it and you will like it. You will be more alert to what is go'n on with your aircraft. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The full real crowd has spoken. Those of us with small displays and/or poor eyes find instrument reading impossible in combat - and kind of silly, to be quite frank. Hence the more sensible speedbar.

Oh, and a flat monitor and a keyboard does not provide the same level of control as an ergonomically designed cockpit. In fact, I'd argue that glancing at the speedbar out of the corner of my eye is more realistic than using the mouse to "glance" at the instument panel, and the keyboard to adjust my "eyesight." So there! ;-)

So is an imperial version available or not?

Cheers.

P.S. Using the speedbar is not the same as using it as a crutch.

Ya thats true. The gauges are hard to read. I have 17 in screen and have to zoom in alot to read the gauges. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Are you flying in wide or normal view, I have a 15in moniter and I can see all gauges just fine, including the compass on the Hurricane. Oh and BTW I thought I would point out that if anybody is looking for the fuel gauge of the BF110 its behind the stick.
