Assassin’s Creed has become home to some awesome characters and with it has come an array of talented cosplayers. We dove into the community to talk to one of their own, Lowmex, about what makes cosplaying Assassin’s Creed characters special to him.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hi, my name is Sebastian but online I go by the name Lowmex. I’m years old 26 and I’m from Germany.

What inspired you to start cosplaying?

Before I started cosplaying I was very shy. I wanted to change that and to do so I started getting into cosplay. I also wanted to meet a lot of new people with similar hobbies and this is one way I could make that possible.

How did you first come across Assassin’s Creed?

I discovered the first Assassinīs Creed game and found it interesting so I played through it right before the second part was released actually. I continued the series with Assassin’s Creed 2 and overall it became one of my favorite games within the series. The characters, the story, and the gameplay, everything combines to a great game experience!

What made you want cosplay an Assassin’s Creed character and specifically Edward?

As I mentioned, I've became a huge fan of the Assassinīs Creed series from my time playing the game. When I had decided that I would cosplay something, the first step was to go out to find the right costume maker. This actually ended up being at the same time pictures and information from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag came out. I was very lucky and I found the character great, which is why I decided to cosplay Edward!

What’s your favorite part of the cosplaying process?

The best part for me is being able to wear the finished cosplay. Of course, I really like the process of putting it together, however there is always a case where there are a few highs and lows of every creative process. Moreover, it is just great when other people are happy about the cosplay and you can talk to them about it.

Do you have any tips for someone who wants to get into cosplay?

If you want to start with cosplay, don’t hesitate and just do it! It may not be easy in the beginning and you maybe encounter some difficult moments. However, the feeling when you build something or wear the result at a convention is amazing and you know it was worth it!
