http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif O M G !!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

LOVE the new Revelation site!! I just finished exploring and finishing up the puzzles - now I'm waiting for the videos to load in the extra section - that should take a while ... darned dial-up http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-mad.gif .

I chose to explore the site without the benefit of the help enabled - I've been so ticked at myself for having to use a walkthrough to get through PotS, that I've figured if I can't get through a simple demo / site without some help it's time to hang up the adventure gaming and find a new hobby. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

I had a GREAT time with it, the images were stunning, the music beautiful, the puzzles were relatively simple, and the rewards were amazing. I knew what I had to do with the first 2 puzzles immediately and I futzed about with the third one until I knew what to do with it - love these intuitive puzzles. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Whoever put this together deserves a huge HUG - it's brilliant - with a broad range of interesting tidbits to keep any fan happy and pique the interest of newbies. The music is beautiful - God bless the beautiful, musical soul of Jack Wall ... I actually got chills and a little teary with the Serenia music. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I'm really looking forward to this game being released. It's going to be an amazing Myst adventure.

I agree with you Cierdwyn....I had the same reaction when listening to the track titled Enter Serenia.

Can hardly wait until the release.

OMG Serenia is gorgeous!!!!111

Ok, what is the shiny building (or whatever it is) to the left here?

http://members.cox.net/sri.mystworlds/Serenia.jpg

Big contrast with the weathered stone we see everywhere else.

Hi Srikandi, http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I had noticed that dome. You can see a bit of it when you turn to the left and face the doorway where the 3rd puzzle is, too. It sort of seems to be like a huge polished dome - almost quartz-like - that is built into or out of a small rocky abuttment. VERY curious ... hope we get to explore it.

The shiny thing looks kinda like a giant rose flower or something. From some of the other images on the site it looks like Serenia is an abstract age of works of art!

The puzzles and explorations are awesome! Fantasic job! I feel way too spoiled already!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif - but watching the videos i realise how much more immersive and stunning the game is going to be!!!

Yeah this IS really cool. How good are the videos.

(I think its a bit wierd that Jack Wall thinks this will be the BEST MYST GAME EVER because its the easiest!)

But anyway... did you check out the "Alive" video - the guy is telling you about this crab puzzle. But what about the crabs and the background there..... Ahnonay????

^___^ Maybe Jack isn't a puzzle solver?
Anyway its a great site. We know a few things now(WARNING:Site spoilers):

1. The beuatiful two-legged bird-creature from Haven is named Herbivore(I love these creatures http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).
2. Sirrus and Atrus tended to play Chess. Was that something Anna might have taught him? Or was it just invented in the MYST WORLD..?
3. Personally I don't think Serenia is Sirrus prison age. It doesn't fit his personality.
4. Catherine is dead or gone. She doesnt appear in the character gallery.
5. There are possibly night/day cycles in Tomahna.

BTW in the making of, Jack tells us the Main theme is based on a specific age with 'very interesting people' in it. I think it's Serenia, or a entire age we havent seen.

So as Jack Wall says, Myst 4 is going to be the best Myst game ever made http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Good points, Exziler.

Serenia is of course not Sirrus' Prison age. There is a civilization there, and in the website Yeesha says "Dad took me to a really neat place today. It's called Serenia". They wouldn't go there if it was Sirrus' prison age! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Catherine can't be dead. In Uru, there is a note from Atrus to Catherine. (But of course, it could be an old note from the time before Myst?)

And the main theme must be about Serenia's people, as you said. It can't be about another age, because I read that there would be 4 ages in Revelation; we know the name of three of them: Tomahna (well, actually not an age, because it lies on earth), Haven (Achenar's prison age), Serenia (The main age of revelation, refering to the concept art of Serenia) and then we have Sirrus' prison age - which we don't know the name of. We haven't seen it by all, either. Good to have one age that will surprise us!

A cow is an herbivore. A deer is an herbivore. "Herbivore" is a description, not a name.

See the Book of Ti'ana. Anna played chess with her father and taught the game to Gehn. It wouldn't be surprising if she also taught it to Atrus. (But, I wonder if she also taught him gemedet. It would be neat to see a gemedet set sitting around Tomahna.)

Gee theres an original name! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Catherine can't be dead. In Uru, there is a note from Atrus to Catherine. (But of course, it could be an old note from the time before Myst?)<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
No it cant, becasuse the note was written from Atrus to Yeesha when she went to the desert. Therefore this note must have been written AFTER Revelation. And since it says "Last Night" then Catherine must have been alive after Revelation.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>well, actually not an age, because it lies on earth<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Earth is an age. It just happens to be the same age as the Cleft and D'ni.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Good to have one age that will surprise us!
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes very good! But I hope theres a "final" age. Where would a Myst game be without a "final" age. Why it'd be Uru! (Although even Uru had the Bahro Cave). Also it seems Tomahna will be fairly small, larger than in Exile, but probably about the same size as the Cleft from Uru. (Anyone who's played the demo wanna back this up?)

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>I wonder if she also taught him gemedet.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>Is it just me or are D'ni games just ripoffs of boring human games:
Gemedet = Tic-tac-toe (Noughts & Crosses) 3D
Aloyheeks = Rock, Paper, Scissors

EMS, you wan't Revelation to have a "final" age. Me to, and it could be like this: (just an example)

1. You arrive in Tomahna.
2. You go to Sirrus' prison age (or Achenar's)
3. You go to Achenar's prison age (or Sirrus')
4. You end up in Serenia, the final age and the "Main Age" (refering to the concept art) where the whole story is revealed.

Just an example http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

And, yeah, about the age of Earth. I remebered it just after writing the post. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Good points.

Im happy that Sirrus Age ISNT revealed. Sirrus is my favorite of the sons ( http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gifsurprise surprise http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) because hes the intelligent one. If we are to interact with the brothers, Sirrus will definately be easy to control... althought Achenar will be easier http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.
Serenia is a very nice place.... Now we know its NOT Releeshahn http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ( http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif).

Sorry about the herbivore thingy http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Maybe I havent got it right, but will the four people in the game actually be played, and will we meet them all?
