I think not they are based on Coops and that doesnt work on dedicated. A open Playing Coop Mode maybe a solution.

Let me restate this question.

With the release of AEP or BOE, will the dedicated server be upgraded to allow the use of targets and such, as with the online 'campiagn'?

A lot of people want to know about this (I think most don't 'get it' yet, but when they do, its going to get ugly around here).

No. We never promised it.
We plan to have such thing in time for BoB sim.
We really cant make everything for free.

Would it be possible to get a few minor changes to DFs so that 3rd-party devs could create better scripted missions?

All we really need is more verbose console logging (destroyed grnd targets and such), mission icons (ground target/escort/recon icons on both the mission map and briefing map), and a buffer in the console output that will hold chat messages untill responses to commands have finished.

With these minor changes, myself, sammie, and a few others could get together and take care of the conditional logic.

I agree with all those suggestion Baldie. I have many more, but to stay on topic I will comment on yours. We (Lunix and I) solved the chat 'leak' issue, and if you want some assistance I can share some code to help you out. Along these same lines though, I think a more consistent logging format would solve the issue even better. The delimiters for logging are spaces, but at random intervals (and sometimes not even there, depending on the situation). Why not have uniform spaces or a unique delimteter to define the various column within 'user' and 'user STAT'? For all the third-part programs out there, the regex's required to parse this data must have taken quite a bit of time to write, and still the results may be less than fully accurate. Fixing this problem would be a big step for those of us that write these third-party programs for FB.

Combining USER STAT and USER Data would make the polling event even shorter. And reducing the Information to changed values only would reduce it even more.

But this are all workarounds.I still would like Configurable Counters in Game that Track different things and Events can be set after it.

A Simple section in the Properties File gives the Data for the Counters such as Planes etc and the Event that happens after its Counter is completed, can be console commands that are just executed then.

But thats only partly that what a real scripting and trigger system in FB could do. A dynamic Supply and Support system moving Bases and Planes and Computer Generates Ground Troops moves and assigns missions from Available Pool to Available Aircraft for example(Annouces Flighstart to Online Players etc). That all on the same map without loading a new one.

But i guess already planned for BoB .)

Such modifications may happens only if the main programmer will have a time.

I have a console tracking application in development and I haven't noticed any "chat leak" issues. Am I missing something or has something been fixed on the IL-2 side?

I don't run a dedicated server any longer and therefore can not test console text flow, but I believe it was fixed many patches ago.
