“I can assure you, there’s no way the trailer’s getting out.”

“Can you? Can you assure me? After what happened with Unity, Syndicate, Osiris?"

Hm, is Osiris then the release title of what has the work title Empire currently?

That is actually an awesome and funny easter egg :D

Osiris was a Prince of Persia game that they were going to make, but this got cancelled and I am pretty sure they are using assets from that game (as it was supposedly set in Egypt) for Empire.

Man, I appreciate the Easter Egg, but I'd much rather have WD set in a universe where AC is real, not where AC is just a game.

Why not both? Liberation is an in-Universe Abstergo product, as is variants on all the other main games, pre-Unity. Why not the post Unity games?

I rather have it that way. Gives Watch Dogs more free roam in story department and if Juno is gonna rule the world (over 10 years, even longer at this point id the movie becomes good) we don't have Watch Dogs fans complaining (not being a jerk to WD fans but you know what I mean)

This entire conversation sounds like Abstergo employees intimidating each other hahaha

Edit: But I swear to God if the Modern Day is again 10 minutes cutscenes I am done carring with the Modern Day in the games

The thing with Liberation is that we were pretty much playing it as Abstergo intended, minus a few adjustments by Erudito.

Unity doesn't exist as a game in the AC universe- at least, certainly not in the form that we saw it. Same goes for Syndicate. We're pretty well off the grid in those games, and I don't think the Templars would want to release that info.

"New trailer sucks!" "New trailer kicks ***!" "New trailer is...kinda okay"

And we thought they didn't read the forums.

Don't toy with my fragile heart...

From your lips to God's ears. Git gud, Ubisoft.

They also sneaked a couple of Easter eggs into the Steep beta:

(Looks like the ruins of an old Assassin hideout in the French Alps near Annecy...)

No, but my point is that they made versions of AC 1/II/B/R/III/IV:BF and a couple of unknowns - how do we know they aren't creating something outta Arno and the Fry's data?

The issue is more having Ubi and the movie exist in-Universe...

True, though they wouldn't necessarily be called "Unity" and "Syndiacate"- though I'm splitting hairs at this point.

Anyway, you're totally right about Ubisoft being there.

I don't want to get too speculative, but I can't help but wonder if they're doing this to avoid creating a shared universe where they'd have to account for some big changes. Juno's going to be back in a big way at some point- maybe they (probably rightly) think it would be silly and strange to include her in WD's universe once she returns.

Osiris wasn't PoP. It looked like AC, not PoP, and there is no reason for a PoP game set in Egypt. Also, parts of Osiris art turned up in Abstergo docs in the game.

As for Watch Dogs, I hope this puts to rest the idea that they're in the same universe. They can't be. Ubisoft exists in WD, and it makes AC in this world. Abstergo doesn't feature in WD, and if it existed then it would be making AC and it would be absolutely everywhere. Remember the Revelations MP material, among other things: Abstergo is like Amazon, Apple, Glaxo Smithkline, Google, Space X etc rolled into one. They make the majority of desirable consumer gadgets and the main products in that world.

The crossovers we've seen are all fun Easter eggs, and where they overlap it is to create yet another alternative idea of the world.

hell no HELLL NOOO

assassins creed DOES NOT need that baggage at all

although it would be so cool to have a big ubisoft shared universe i honestly dont think they can pull it off effectivly they were heading into DANGEROUS waters that frustrated me and other fans when they had AC games in abstergo entertainment so let a lone a shared universe where a bunch of inconvenient clashes would occur a few cheeky easter eggs are all i need
