one of the reasons i love to fly the ME262 its it's incredibly well done cockpit, its author just made a true
master piece. i think he reached perfection.(something i thought would be close to imposible!)

the developement team improved the FM even more THANK YOU!

so wishfully i hope eventually if little by little we can
help the developers reach perfection in the FM to match that cockpit.

to anyone who finds anything that could make the ME262 FM better, please say so.

my 2 cents:

I lost an engine in mid flight, but the aircraft keeps flying straight. Isnt it supposed to yaw because of only one engine pushing it?

well i think that it was probly a lil closer to reality in 1.1b (please no one flame me, its just what i think) but i still like it the way it is in 1.1f.

Not flaming you, but in the beta it didn't seem to perform right with any sort of altitude. It ran completely out of steam and wouldn't climb. Haven't seen the "final" yet.

no it didnt perform well at altitude in 1.1b, but for low-mid altitude i thought it was closer to reality than in 1.1f. when i tested its time to climb to 6000m in 1.1b, it did it in around 6 minutes which is what it did in real life, now i can get it up there much faster.

You're absolutely joking, right (about FM)?
Castrated. Castrated. Only word that fits the Schwalbe now.

I think the addition of the P80 will make the Me262 beter... What? What's wrong with that? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It burns energy too fast when zooming, it turns TOO GOOD at low speed, and ceiling is porked.

No idea how it is in 1.11 though. Anyone test it?

I tested in 1.11 the acceleration from 350 to 550kmh, I don't remember the result exactly but it was correct, something like 25 sec.

I also tested the turn rate: 31 sec per 360deg turn at full fuel and 23 sec at 25% fuel. It is slightly below the real life performance 27 sec full fuel and 21 sec 25% fuel (this big difference between full fuel and 25% fuel turn performance is caused by the fact that at full load almost 30% of Me-262 loaded weight is fuel, compared with Bf-109 where only 10% is fuel). This small inaccuracy doesn't matter much because nobody will win turfights with 262, any plane can turn inside it, it's impossible to aim because 262 is in lag turn all the time.

More important than turn rates are turn speeds, it should be impossible to drop below 500kmh in turn with Me-262 at full throttle. Now it's better than in 1.1b though, when Me-262 lost speed until 330-340kmh. Now it's 440kmh, if you have a light hand on the stick (no need to pull more, the turn rate won't be better), much closer to real specs.

Dive and zoom were quite accurate in 1.1b, I have to retest them now.

Oh I forgot, climb now seems correct: 19.5 m/s initial climb at full fuel and 29m/s at 25% fuel. And the climb speed at 25% fuel was corrected (from 380kmh to 480kmh at sea level).

Good, hopefully it will stay improved and not go downhill again
