This "fix" is just like the P-38 fire extinguishers.

Strangly, the inboard fuel tanks are fixed, as they will no longer burn instantly. But the outboard tanks will burn just as easily as before, from a few .30 rounds. They only fixed half of them.

IRL, they were all self-sealing, so all tanks should act the same.

The laser pointer was invented by Russia in 1943 btw. Developed by the same scientists that made bulletproof wood and silly string.

Oleg said they would be fixed. Somethings a little fishy here.

Maybe Oleg isn't the one doing the fixing...

Best screenshot ever.

A German I-16 shooting down a russian B-17 with a laser weapon... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Now if we can just work in a couple of Finnish TIE fighters and an RAF X-wing...

Bummer about the tanks though. Looks like more inflight BBQ parties for B-17 crews. Do they still pull up and stall out, though?

"Oleg said they would be fixed. Somethings a little fishy here."

As I understand it there are basically three developers. With the amount of stuff to work on and test I'm not surprised that a few things that were supposed to have been fixed were not. 3 programmers is too few for a project this size.

Oh my! It's a conspiracy! I'd call Discovery Channel, perhaps they'll do a documentary on it!

I hate to admit this, but I agree with Manuc. For the time they took to do this patch, both it's quality and quantity leave some things to be desired.

Plus there's still no word on the promised bomber add-on.

I agree completely. Although everything else in this patch seems brilliant, I was very dissappointed to see that the B-17 is still a one hit lighter. It goes down so easily. A split second burst with a 20mm is all it takes. Very dissappointing, especially when they told us it would be fixed.

So according to Ubisoft the Germans still had no reason to use the 30mm Mk108.
