has anyone hosted one of these? I've never seen one on HL or anywhere else for that matter. Played on a public server last night and had a P80 v ME262 dogfight - I got his right engine and he was stuffed after that (ended up shooting him down using BnZ tactics).

Most of these nancys are afraid of jets. The smell of kerosene upsets their delicate stomachs.

I want F-86 vs. MiG-15 scenarios!!!

...Although the YP-80 vs. Me-262 will work, in a pinch. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

Jet VS Jet is great fun...along with some high performance props and its a real blast.

If/When the Ta-152C and the Spitfire Mark 22 show up...then we can have a real nice 1946 scenario with all sorts of high performance props and jets. Its good fun...gets boring if thats all you do...but its good fun. There have been some servers running jet setups.

Gen. Carl Spaatz: "I'd rather have an airplane that goes like hell and has a few things wrong with it than one that won't go like hell and has a few things wrong with it."
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!

There was one running in the Greatergreen rotation last weekend with all jets (+ P-51 and 109G6/AS IIRC). It was a hoot http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

I built a Korean DF server Scenario awhile back, but I do not host much these days.
The Scenario is named Chosin Reservoir!
The setting is Korea 1950 the Chosin reservoir district using the Moscow snow map.
Historic DF server Scenario when China entered the War in Korea, 1 million Communist troops counter attack in the Chosin reservoir district winter 1950, rupturing the United Nations lines.

United Nations Aircraft are the PY-80, P-51, P-47,
Communist Aircraft PY-80 (because no mig jets) Yak 3 and La7.
We simulated the front line area as it was historicaly with United Nations forces encircled trapped within the advancing Chinese horde, and trying to fight their way out with the help of Air support blasting and strafing corridors for them.

In real life it was a horror story for the United Nations troops, for those who are interested historicaly, Discovery Channel sometimes shows a documentry on the Counter attack at the Chosin Reservoir, the 1 hour show is titled, Korea our time in Hell.

S!
