Frog oh Frog

Frog oh frog I saw you on a lilly pad and I wasnt glad but i knew you would be mad if I tried to catch you so I will let you jump on another lilly pad so you wont be sad

My son actually one first place in the poetry contest at his school with this. He was so proud of himself and his little certificate. He wrote it on a frog picture he drew and was competing against fourth graders.

That's awesome Bearcat. I'm a writer. I've won a couple of awards myself. My work, however is either very grisly and about war, or about the way relationships are built upon each other. Still, I have one of my good stories up at www.screenshotart.com (http://www.screenshotart.com).

Interesting....
What do I have to search for...

Don't you have a direct link?
And what about the poem? hehe;
The end 2 lines dont seem right to me...
(which does not say anything)... because I think the poet was under time-pressure by that time...

1st grade - ? - yeah 1st price too

Congrats BC, being a father of a boy is a GodSend. It has no comparison. The finest accomplishment a man can possibly do in this lifetime is give to the world a gentleman in training, or GIT.
I raise me voice and yell GIT all the time.
Why just last night we lost site of our 2.7 year old for two seconds and there he was, packing mud into his hair in the newly sewn garden.
His reply was "my hair is now brown"
Indeed, his hair was brown. Yes, a budding poet now doubt.
When asked why he did it, "you weren't looking"
Indeed, honesty and integrity in one small package.
Congrats, raise 'em right. THATS our legacy

Yeah HawgDog.. that guy is the light of my life... I raised 5 girls and he was the last one..and the one ironically that saved my life because me and my marriage were headed for a fall till he came along.... He gets these color codes from his teachers green is good... red is bad with blue yellow and orange in between... usually when he gets Red it means we stay home and dont go to the rec center to shoot some hoops or to the pool.. anyway the other day he came home and I said so son howd you do today.. he says..."I'm not going anywhere......" I cracked up. I watched The Last Samuri " last night... decent for the most part.... but in the scene where he lost his son I got a little misty just putting myself in his place. Kids are GOD'S way of keeping us sane.... when I look at him and I think that 8 years ago there was no one there.. and now I have this guy.. it just still blows my mind.

I'm with ya Bear. I have 5 kids and my youngest is going to be 7 in 2 weeks. This little man makes me laugh and appreciate my life so much. My other 4 are great kids, but the arrival of my youngest son was truly a blessing.

Small kids are more creative then tall kids (hey, that almost rimed too!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

anyways, you should stimulate that. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nice post Bearcat -

I especially like the ones that bring us together...

My son is almost 18 now.. I love the young man that he is becomming.

A very difficult and rewarding task to mentor and develope a young mind.. no other experience in life is so challenging to be sure.

Love and truth in our conversations has been the key - I've always tried to listen to what he says and hear what he means before I spoke.
... you dont miss the really funny stuff that way.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

"Exactly, (teenage)daughters are God's punishment for you, being a man!"

My bud has three, 13-17 and all his hair fell out this year!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

"I especially like the ones that bring us together... "

Yeah, very true- me too (now that did rhyme!)

"dux, those pics made me nauseous."

Really...I nearly chewed glass on the second one.
