You can get it at Avault.com. Downloaded in about 15 minutes.

Still not even mentioned at Lo-Mac.com. Go figure.

This has to be the most complicated sim I've ever tried.

The control set up interface is needlessly complex, and there ae too many frigging controls and modes etc...

I'm cancelling my pre order ASAP.

Life is too short for jet sims.

Props rule.

No, jet sims are for those who don't care much about flight models etc....as modern jet fighter flight performance statistics are all closely guarded secrets.

And I am personally offended by your "simpleton" comment sir. I "simply" choose not to waste my precious time, sorting through 7+ pages of readme files just to figure out how to get a BVR kill....how exciting....

Yeah that sums up Jet Sim's. Although I like that aspect to. Flew F18 Super Hornet a lot.

I agree with you though EL. Prop sims are the only way to go. More Flying, and less radar screens!

Well I played the Lomac demo and all I can say is it sucks. I've flown the Marine Corps F-18 full cockpit training simulator. So I think that qualifies me to comment on modern jet simulators.

Graphically it was very pretty although out of proportion, and FM wise it just plain stunk! I give it a 3 out of 10 for being pretty.

Every take-off is optional, but every landing is mandatory!

Well REAL jet jockeys helped develope this sim

So if you played the Marine Corps F-18 simulator you know how a MIG29 Fulcrum or an A-10 handles.Last time I checked the Mig29 or an A-10 does not handle like an F/A-18.These guys know what they are doing. The demo is only beta 5 mind you and was ready in August. We are in October and they are in beta 10 and still have 2 months to work on it.I wouldnt judge a game by a beta demo. And even then the demo is good.

So you have "flown" a F18 simulator - sure you didn't black-out, or was it just a dream.....

Tedious unoriginal philosophical statement the pith of which is lost in repetition.

That Demo would have to be the most worthless piece of junk on my hard drive

Bad Graphics
Bad Sound
Stupid Damage Model (crash and you just go boom)
flames come out of the fusalage all in the wrong places
it just all looks like crap

I hope the final version is better than this but I cant see it

I liked the demo enough - I think the controls are actually a little easier than in flanker 2.5. Flight model is fine. I stalled the MiG-29 a couple of times and it seems to depart and recover quite well - of course, it seems you can kick the afterburner to get out of most stalls! MiG versus Mirage seems to turn out about right, with him having turn and you having speed and climb advantages.

Graphics are fine. I put on low detail with medium effects and it runs okay on my laptop, good enough for me.

Damage modelling is good, but not for crashes. I had one missile hit I survived with wing & tail damage, a gun hit with a fuel leak (in the A-10), engine fires, damage on all areas of the wing, torn control surfaces, damaged flight computer (reverts to manual control, which is hard!) And behaviour with damage is interesting too, with all sorts of spins and falling effects.

Crashes on the other hand, just go boom.

Getting guns kills are no harder or easier than in FB or Flanker - you have a harder target and fire at longer ranges, but you also have a better gun and fire control computer.

I don't think BVR mode is working in the demo, I at least couldn't find the Mirage in BVR, but it works the same as in Flanker 2.5. (press I, select target with ",./;" keys, press tab, tab to lock)

Controls are really not hard. There's a few ways to lock up a target, but they all boil down to (1) select a Close Air Combat mode, (2) switch on the radar or EOS, (3) point your designator at the target, press tab to track it (4) fire missile or close to guns range! If you can't get that, it's not a problem with the game.

Ground attack is also good - guns, rockets, and cluster bombs in the demo behave and look about as they should. Not too hard, not too easy.

Looking forward to the full game!
