I love flying online. Nothing like it. There is not a good flight sim that covers the korean war. Mig alley is good, but can't play online and it has too many bugs. I think people would pay to have the wonderful graphics and flight models that IL2 has in a Korean war sim. Mig 15s and F-86s what a rush!!

And don't forget that many aircrafts are already modeled: Yak-3; Yak-9U (easy to transforum in a Yak-9P); Tu-2; Po-2: IL-10; Mustang; the Spit 14 could be transform in a Seafire 47; the P-80 in a F-80 etc...

I would be willing to bet that Korea is absolutely going to be Oleg's next project, if he isn't already working on it. Why? Follow the money. Not only would it allow him to carry on with the Soviet theme and his own Russian heritage, but it would also have a very large market appeal in North America. Oleg has ceeded a huge market share in US, Canada, and the UK by failing to have a P-51 or Spit in IL-2 for so long. He must know that he can make a lot more money on his efforts if he makes more of an effort to include American and UK planes. Almost everybody would be happy w/ the planes that would be available. The whole F-86 vs Mig-15 scenario was probably the most epic of all air combat situations ever, full of technology (for the time period), drama, politics, and personalities. Russian "advisors" flew combat misions all the time and were very successful. Many of the aces on all sides are still alive and can be interviewed to make the game more authentic. I think all of the info on Russian pilots has been declassified. Its just an awesome event to explore with a flight sim for so many reasons.

Finally, I want to see this game because it was the ultimate manifestation of "pure" dogfighting, and many of the aces were old WWII guys. The pilots were VERY GOOD. LOMAC is not nearly as interesting to me because BVR is what it is -- you won't ever see much of the action when you are making kills at 15nm. I like to see the guy I'm shooting at. But Korea would be a hoot. And it would be a big commercial success for Oleg.

Korea sim would be cool. Maybe we can get flyable Po~2.

La~11, two seat F~94 Starfire (there's your nightfighter fellas). Oh, the things Oleg could do.

But the high altitude grafix Pancake Problem has got to go. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

You guys are so right. I don't understand the appeal of firing a amraam missile at a target that is out of visual range and getting a kill. Up close and personal is what cool. I hope that oleg does make a korean war sim. I plan mig alley and its ok, but can't get opponents online. I would love to fly the Mig 15!!! Come on Oleg!!!

Me too, but nevertheless I must say that Lock-On looks amazing.

Yes, a Korea sim would be great, just look at this site to see how such a sim could look:

I read that MigAlley was good, but frankly I would prefer a Korean war sim with the much better FB graphic engine!

Mig alley is great. Major problem is no online play. Graphics are only ok. Nothing to FB. But the FMs are great.
