So i just started the AC series, never played a game before. I just finished the first 2 and got into the 3rd when i heard about full sync stuff and represed memories. So i searched a bit and some people say if u dont do full sync for every memory u will be missing memories, that some requirements are stupid and that games from this foward have like 2-3 requirements in some memories.

Now my question is: If i dont do full sync for every memory i will be missing story parts? Is this full sync stuff present in every game since Brotherhood?

I wanna know so i wont get the other games, cuz for me restarting missions over and over just because i didnt kill someone the way is needed is just plain stupid.

The repressed memories in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood are about the story between Ezio Auditore and Christina Vespucci. Repressed memories unlock as your overall synchronization with Ezio improves. There are five repressed memories which would get unlocked at 15%, 30%, 45%, 60%, and 75% overall synchronization respectively. So you only need to achieve 75% completion in order to unlock all of the memories.

Every Assassin's Creed game after Brotherhood contains the full synchronization system. But none of them unlocks a memory for specific percentage of completion. But It would help to get achievements in Uplay.

The only game where that is the case is Brotherhood, where the missions that flashback on Ezio relationship with Cristina (the one he 'visits' at the start of ACII) only unlock if you complete full sync for a certain number of missions.

After ACB, the full sync is mostly optional, but usually tied to the progress tracker, occasionally with monetary or equipment rewards/unlocks.

Also, post ACR, if you fail a full sync objective, you won't have to restart the whole mission, full sync status is tied to checkpoints and will restore if you revert to the last one.

That sounds good. I'm playing mostly for the story, so missing armor/weapons or cosmetics won't bother me. Also i'm not an achivement guy, if i get them they way i play is good, if not w/e.

Thank u for ur help guys.

I'm going slightly on a tangent now, but I'm going to share my opinion on the full sync condition in AC:B.

Personally, I liked them and I would suggest that you try to fulfil optional objectives. Not at any cost (i.e. repeating the whole missions, your point about not wanting that is a completely valid one), but I found that the extra conditions in AC:B were usually well thought out and made sense in the contexts of the corresponding missions, so trying to get those extra conditions made you play more like a true assassin would and it just felt right to me. Otherwise, the game mechanics of AC:B let you get away with almost anything - killstreaks enable you to dispatch a huge number of opponents in direct combat and then you can just tear down a few posters to reset your notoriety, so a lot of missions can generally be done with the simple head-on, daggers blazing approach, but that both gets repetitive and takes away from the immersion, IMO, because it's not within the spirit of the assassins and it starts to feel just too artificial if one overdoes it.

BTW, this only applies to AC:B. Optional conditions in other games are mostly rather generic and sometimes *cough*AC III*cough* they can be pretty non-sensial.
