All information I've found online regarding this ar$e-kicking version of the Henschel 129 was saying that it has been a real hog to fly with all that weight and drag of the BK 7.5 (PAK-40L) cannon. However whenever I flew the plane in offline or fun servers (outside views of course) it always behaved extremely well for its weight with an impeccable handling... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

I believe it needs fixing, better late than never.

it has AI flight model, when you fly any AI only plane the flight model is simplified. If it ever gets a cockpit be sure it will be fixed.

Yep. All non-flyables have a much rougher and lower detail flight model since the AI is not capable of dealing with as complex a model as a human pilot can account for.

If you ever flew the P-51D-20 that was in Forgotten Battles before it was made flyable you would have found it to be very different than the one that we have now.

So not to worry, if it was ever made flyable...it would be different.

I see your point here, guys, but I only wanted it a little bit heavier... perhaps having the turning radius and climb rate of a bigger plane, not anything more complex.

Ahem, I'm not sure if we ever see it flyable. Anyone working on Hs-129 cockpits?!

BTW, its 75mm can take ANYTHING out in a direct hit, even the heaviest of Soviet tanks. Also I was flabbergasted to see how the gun drops the fired round from the back of the gondola... amazing detail for a non-flyable plane! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

If you like to compare the Hs-129 B-3 with another AI plane do it with the Me-210 Ca-1... The Messerschmitt is far less maneuverable than the Henschel, something I wouldn't expect to see according to real accounts.

I noticed the Hs129 flies like a fighter too. I thought the AI routines limit it to a more stuka-like FM, but the AI still manages to fly it like a fighter. Maybe it does need fixing, but its only a small problem. Hs129s are very rare anyway.

I haven't noticed the AI routines, but definitely when flown by a player it does amazing things... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

B-3s have been only made 25, that's true.
Still, a nice plane to have: it's the ultimate tank-buster! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

Hi,

It's not exaggerated..it's plain odd.
About the only thing going for this a/c is that it's too small to hit easily!
