Hello Oleg!

I wish to congratulate you on this fantastic flight simulation. I have flown too many to mention over the past decade but this is by far the best of them all. Those pilots who are relatively new to the simulation community have been spoiled by you and by the high quality of Forgotten Battles. It dismays me greatly to hear pilots whining and complaining about flight models, speeds, rates of climb, damage models, etc. etc. Your constant efforts to pacify these people will simply burn you out of this business. You are far too valuable to the simulation community to be lost in this way. Always remember that you will NEVER be able to keep everyone happy, no matter what you do. I can assure you that the silent majority of people currently enjoying FB are overly pleased with this gift you have given us.

Please continue with product development, fixes for technical bugs etc. and forget about appeasing the whiners, grumblers, perfectionists etc. That is a losing battle sir. Just keep pumping out a never-ending stream of superlative flight simulations for those who truly appreciate them.

Forget Maddox. FOX Thank YOU for that MiG I~224 email. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I can cringe at FB stuff sometimes. The most was FB 1.0 I~16 cos it was incapable of being used in realistic mission building and flying (slaughtering late war Fw190/Fb109), and that is offwhine let alone onwhine. And I wanted so much for it to be my main mount. And now I can (1.1beta) and without me feeling Guilty.

Even with 1.1beta, it still has advantage over LW planes when merging at equal altitude, but that is AI routines favouring turning aircraft and *not* flight model. These FM Noobs are whining about the wrong things.

Oleg, please, forget FM and work on AI tuned to aircraft capability. Oleg, think of the Children (always works here in USA politics)!!!

Thank you. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I agree wholeheartedly with MOH_FOX . Thos who`ve played the early sims like `Spitfire 40` certainly appreciate how lucky we are today (20 year old no graphics, no sound sim! But it`s all we had!).
The FM whines really bother me and always strikes me as coming from a teenage crowd who know no better! Oleg`s sim is Great, all I ask is for a chance to escape enemy areas and to have the Spitfire!

But hey! I`ll live without them if I must! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I agree. I will never fly a simulation plane model that was designed by a committee or a mob! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

On the other hand, the 1C Dev. Team has done a very good job; I hope they will continue to make improvements to an already outstanding product.

Presenting data in a logical way to convey a convincing argument is not whining.

Whining is :

To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch

No offense but that was what this forum was designed for IIRC - suggestions on how to improve the Sim and an open Forum to discuss issues with the developer.

Or have I made a mistake?
