I wonder if any one out there knows how ( or if ) I can put the nem maps ( Normandy, Leningrad, Pacific etc)into choices in the Quick Mission Builder...Do I need to download them from somewhere else & then install them somewhere ( where?) Your help much appreciated!

Go here:
http://www.uberdemon.com/

Use that utility instead of the one that came with the game. The 3 maps that are in qmb are all that will ever be there. With this you can build a quickie anywhere . . . and I'd love to be a fly on your wall when you find out what all is possible with it.

James, in case the uberdemon generator does not fit all your needs, you can have a look at the URL below to see how to use the Full Mission Builder similarly to the QMB, giving you access to all of the maps.

Thanks will try your suggestions ...I'm just a little concerned that UberDeamon looks a little complex for my rudimenery computer skills....I can paint a decent picture but not sure I can figure out all this - is it easier than it first looks???I suppose I'll have to read readme file huh???

Dont be intimidated by the apparent complexity..it isnt complex at all. Just give it a go. You wont be sorry.

I had the same reservation's James but finaly went ahead and got uberdemon. Best thing I ever done. All you got to do is read the instructions and follow them exactly as written and you'll do fine. Once you get the hang of making missions with it you'll have a great time. But don't do like I did with the first mission I made. I had over 230 aircraft in it...lol. Even my Alienware PC choked on that one. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Let me say thank- you guys for your good advice! Will spend some time trying to put together a simple mission today... As an aviation artist I am hoping to be able to take Clipbord images of some of the landscape at different hours of the day & different lighting conditions that I can control using the UQMP ( perhaps) & oh yes make major missions for me to play!!!

That generator is an awesome piece of work and sets FB in the ionosphere. <UL TYPE=SQUARE>http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/bookstore/tuskegeebondposter.jpg (http://tuskegeeairmen.org/airmen/who.html)
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>vflyer@comcast.net
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>99thPursuit Squadron IL2 Forgotten Battles (http://www.geocities.com/rt_bearcat)
Just thought I'd give another recommendation to the UQMB. I too was somewhat intimidated by its apparent complexity, but it was simple after the first go. Just keep your first crack at it simplified and try more complex senarios later.

Also, be sure to try the FMB. It too is quite simple to use, and there is so much one can do with it. I think I tend to spend as much time perfecting missions with the FMB as I do flying in general!
