Assassin's Creed: Last Descendants will soon be released.

It sounds like a really interesting book.

"Nothing in Owen's life has been right since his father died in prison, accused of a crime Owen is certain he didn't commit. Monroe, the IT guy at school, might finally bring Owen the means to clear his father's name by letting him use an Animus a device that lets users explore the genetic memories buried within their own DNA. The experience brings Owen more than he bargained for. During a simulation, Owen uncovers the existence of an ancient and powerful relic long considered legend the Trident of Eden. Now two secret organizations will stop at nothing to take possession of this artifact the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order. It soon becomes clear to Owen that the only way to save himself is to find the Trident first.

Under the guidance of Monroe, Owen and a group of other teenagers enter a simulation of memories they all share within their DNA: the 1863 draft riots in New York City. Owen and his companions will find themselves tested on the gritty streets of New York, and their experiences in the past will have far-reaching consequences in the present."

Already preodered it, Assassin's Creed Volume 2&3, Assassin's Creed: Templars Volume 1&2, Assassin's Creed Locus, Assassin's Creed Heresy and the movie novelization on Amazon! They are the only things that will keep me sane until news about the game next year come out ... besides the movie ofcourse!
Although I do not particulary fancy the time period - mostly because I do not know anything about it - I am looking forward to the Modern Day world to be further explored, something which I hope all books and comics will continue to do and which I enjoy immensely.

Well, it seems Posseidon was a first civ. member. After all, he was the god of the greeck myths who was using the trident. ^-^

Well, last I heard, Capitan Jack Sparrow was going after Poseidon's Trident next year, so watch out!

And yeah, I'll be looking this up, original story and all.

Trident of Eden sounds like a really interesting Piece of Eden.

Oh man, the Trident of Eden?

I always thought Tinia looked familiar...

Actually, I don't think Tinia had one, but who knows. For as far as I know, the only god who had a trident in any mythologie was Posseidon. ^-^

Remember that we use the Roman gods, so the equivalent would be Neptune for AC. Plus we saw him and his trident in AC2. Remember the statues...

Well, that's more because we first discovered them through an Italian. Minerva indicated that they have been known by many names, including the Greek ones. But we're going OT here...

Regarding the setting (to get back on topic, since my King Triton comment seems to been taken literally), I'll note that the 1863 draft riots are actually a really interesting choice.

The American Civil War has long been a requested setting for a game, and this indulges that a little bit, while very conspicuously leaving an opening for future content to take place in the major theaters of war,

As much as the American Civil War fascinates me, and as much as I fancy myself a buff of it, I can't help but worry a little bit about this being a future game, though, given Ubi's track record with war\revolution stories.

True. And let's not forget Isis and Osiris, too, who are Egyptian gods (or the Egyptian version of god name, in ac). ^-^

I dunno, I think they could have some fun dispelling a lot of the moral high ground myths that some of the US believes about the American Civil War.

But that's a conversation for another thread...

In what kind of way is the book written? first person like Forsaken and Blag Flag because I hated that I said I thought I REALLY HATE THAT! I know it's not written by Oliver Bowden.
I don't like the historian setting everything that starts with 1800 doesn't sound or feel like a Assassin's Creed setting so how much Modern Day because I'm more interested in that why do I consider the MD as a AC setting don't ask!
I consider buying the book somewhere so would someone please fill me in and is it written good?

Probably not. Not all of the media get games- the comics, for instance.

Maybe we'll see an installment in AC Chronicles 2 or something, at most, if that's ever a thing.

So what are peoples thoughts on the book?

Without any spoilers, I can say that this book surpasses the Bowden novels in every area. I love how they build up the characters, the setting, dialogue, the lore of both Orders, its worth a read...

EXCEPT THEY BROKE A CRUCIAL THING....

So there are a sibling pair with the modern day protagonists, with the brother and sister looking through the memories of a daughter and father ancestor respectfully. The problem lies that the father ancestor died due wounds suffered by an angry mob.....how can you see his memories if he died then? You are supposed to see the memories of an ancestor till point of conceiving the next one....how did they forget this one?!

I would suggest you have a look on "Goodreads", there can be reviews written by fellow readers who got the book. I always use that site regarding books. Maybe also have a look on Amazon in the comments sections you could also find reviews.

Here, I had a look for you and there's already some people who got it - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28691917-last-descendants

Here are some Amazon customer reviews towards the bottom - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Last-Descendants-Assassins-Creed-Novel-ebook/dp/B01BXFRUAI

So far it has some good ratings and people seem to like it.

But I'd also love to hear what fans on this forum have to say about the book.I look forward to picking it up.

Well, talking about only syndicate.

1. The main game.

2. The last mahraja dlc.

3. The Jack the ripper dlc.

4. The missions where we control Lydia Frye and where Jacob and Evie weren't in London.

Hope it help. ^-^

Well if you're asking about the things related to Jacob a Evie in the comics, there is nothing so far. If you're talking about the md don't worry about missing things that concerns the movie. On the other hand the md itself of the titan comics is packed with important things. Here is a link you should read about it. ^-^

Well made, but there is things I either didn't know or it just isn't true.

First, I never heard of a short movie for unity and syndicate. Also, is it normal I see ac ascendance at two places? ^-^

Unity one was released around at e3 2014.

AC: Ascendance is listed 2 times, because there is scene where Juan Borgia was named Captain General of the Papal armies, while Cesare was named one of the cardinals. And this happend during year 1497, when AC: Renaissance happend (1476 - 1499), but everything other in movie happend after AC2 during AC:B , so in list it is also set in correct position during AC:B (game and novel) (and also AC: Identity).

I would love to make a complete review for the book, as I just completed it!

Now its just trying to touch upon the story without any spoilers, as technically, anything I keep thinking upon to touch, like say Varius' and Cudgel's characterization can be spoilerific.

I'll write it up anyway in the best of my ability! Can't wait to share my thoughts
