Was just wondering.
Hope it is bigger then the lennigrad map.
Seems playing in the Pacific there is never enough maps.

I happen to know for sure, that there are plans to make a 1:1 map.

There are some theoretical caveats to that. (see U. Eco), but I'm sure the wizards at Ubi can crack it.

I'm currently making a 1:1 scale map of the universe.
Only problem is I keep running out of paper http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

LOL big time!
Seriously, it would be great to have some big maps where you can't fly from one end to another (eexept perhaps in a Catalina). It seems to be quite possible to do in the Pacific where the amount of land you'd need to map is small and spread out.
I guess the biggest problem would be the maps of New Guinea, Phillipines and Japan itself.
Also, it would be nice to have a Chine/Burma map.
Ahh lots of stuff that would be great, question is: Who will make all that?

Aren't there supposed to be 16 Pacific maps? Maybe you could ask in the Pacific Fighters forum?

Apparently the size isn't really an issue...its the number of objects on the map that are killer. So having bigger maps shouldn't pose too much of a problem apparently...

Would be cool if they made a 1:1 World map. Basically simple, putting the details in the elevation model, not the cities and such.

Then ppl could add objects, roads, houses, industrial areas, farms, cropfields, runways etc etc from the FMB and make their own detailed areas.

Id love it.

It would be a bit unmanageable. Unless they make a paper copy of course and put it in the box.
