What is the best way to check six in this game. My head rotation with my hat switch just doesn't allow it. Is there an easier way. My biggest challenge right now is my SA. Any help would be appreciated.

You are going to get mixed comments on how to do this. I use very small banks while using my rudder to keep my plane level. I don't know if there is a term for what I do but it works for me aside from using the mirrors on some of the aircraft that equip them.

My answer`s similar to Scorpionworm`s. I use mouse `cos it alows me greater access and quicker head turns. In your plane you cannot see directly behind . First pull out view to widest, this will help, but even then someone can stil sneak on you if they stay directly behind and slightly low. To counter this you need to use your rudder or swing plane slightly left or right while looking behind.

This was a common R/L tactic if no wingman covering, so you`re not alone.

That depends on your stick. Some guys use TIR2 (http://flyawaysimulation.com/article546.html)

If you have a stick with some kind of mouse pan like a SaitekX-45 (http://store.yahoo.com/saitekusa/x45digjoyand.html) you can use that. There is also a program called New View (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=654105062) and another called Cam 2 Pan (http://www.mousevision.com/) that can be called a poorman's TIR.
Some people use F3 where externals are allowed... of course many of them lie and say they dont but most do..... I do.. and i dont think its a cheat when externals are enabled... but thats another debate for another thread...

Hope that helped. I have an X45 and although I am seriously thinking about TIR2.... for now the mouse pan on the stick and just maneuvering my plane in those closed pit servers works great for me.
