I was watching some footage of ww2 clips - basically, I'd like to see areas when bombed to smoke similiar to how these burning aircraft do.

sure, building or objects look damaged, but where is the billowing smoke?

Salute!

Yeah, that'd be really nice. Need more smoke and residual damage effects. Maybe a BoB feature.

Alternately, since clouds don;t seem to hurt FR, why not let mission builders place clouds in the FMB---BLACK smoke clouds. They'd be just like current clouds (or whatever newer better clouds might be), but they'd be smoke colored.

This would allow for second wave missions having to deal with obscured targets. Seems doable with little to no FR hit since maps have loads of clouds already.

black smoke from a bomb?!
as long as it doesnt ignite something theres no black smoke....
rather medium-bright grey smoke, if at all...

I dont know...if too many smoldering wrecks are on the ground near me I get horrible frame rats, now just imagine if buildings were smoking from damage.

Maybe we could also add those 20000 foot smoke target front marker things that they placed so planes knew where the lines/targets were...
