What are the differences between a normal 190A-8 and a Mistel 190A-8 and what are the differences between the I-16 and the SPB I-16?

Fw-190 Mistel has additional guages in the cockpit and controls for the Ju-88 it attaches to.

I installed AEP over BOE, but don't see ANY of the new flyable aircraft that I didn't have before (ie, BF110, P38, P63, etc.) in the Quick Mission Builder. Oleg? Should they be there???

Thanks.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I heard that the campaigns wit the new aircraft for BOE would be implemented with a patch from Starshoy, or maybe also together with the big patch with 10+.

Sir Oleg,

I'm confused...the back of the Gold Pack box says 50 flyable aircraft but I could have sworn you said something about 122 in one of these threads.

Re: 50 aircraft vs. 122 aircraft:

1) Pay little attention to that Gold Pack blurb. For one thing, it was written back when AEP was expected to have 20 flyables, not the 29 current. So that's a discrepancy of 9 planes right there. Plus I think all it did was count the planes that were advertised as new for FB and then added the projected AEP planes, but forgot the flyables from the original IL-2 game ...

2) When Forgotten Battles was released last year, it had 30-some 'new' flyables in addition to the 49 flyables (by my count) that existed in original IL-2 plus patches. Oleg's pre-FB release statement claimed "at least 80" flyables altogether. So we'll say that there are 80 flyables in FB. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

3) FB upgrade patch 1.21 added three more flyables. They're in AEP but not listed above as 'new.' So now we'll say that FB had 80(ish)+3 flyables before AEP was finalized.

So, even without an exact count, I'm verifying 112 flyables that should be in your Gold Pack. And that's before the upcoming AEP patch.

goodness gracious!!!
i'm just begining to understand,

1)programme and distribute the assignments to third parties.
2)set dates and targets all the way down to release date and distribution.
3)start work on the sim programme itself.
4)testing.
5)delays and last minute problems.
6)manufacturing.
7)administration
8)marketing strategy
9)shipping.
well with all that on their desk no wonder some planes just did'nt make it in time.obviously forces beyond their control.
i belong to the pacific crowd hoping and crossing my fingers that one day oleg will produce a full pacific sim since we have nothing serious to play with since the days of "aces over the pacific" and "1942 war in the pacific" and thats 10 years ago!!!is'nt that sad?
the pacific buffs will now have to hope that the KI61,ki43oscar,B25,and catalina will appear in the patch.

Whats the actual full list of flyable aircraft for FB up to now? Geez looks like they literally have every major aircraft from WW2 except for maybe the Vought Corsair, B29, B25, Aichi Dive Bomber, and maybe the Japanese Betty (if you consider that a major aircraft. Pretty amazing.

I guess this question boils down to "Was Finland an Axis or Allied country"? It's a trick question, because Finland fought bought the USSR and Germany in WW2. Gladiators were flown exclusively against the Soviet Union, though, during 1939 - 1940.

Any progress in this title is outstanding and I want to thank the IL2 team for all they've done now and future too. Now that my props are out of the way, can you please say if the FW200 will ever make it out of the gate as flyable? We need more multi-engine heavy bombers too and that massive bird would do nicely http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere....but please advise, anyone that might know the answer. Cheers~

Despite the huge number of aircraft in FB and AEP, the thing with WW2 is there is alway plenty more, here are a few I would like to see.

Russian - Yermolaev YER-2, Beriev Be-4, Polikarpov I-15 bis

Germany - He-219 Uhu, He-177 Greif, Ar-234 Blitz, Do-17/217 Series, More JU-88 Variants, Me-410 Hornisse

USA - Douglas A-20 Havoc, North Amer. B-25 Mitchell, Grumman F4F Wildcat, Grumman TBF Avenger, Douglas SBD Dauntless

UK - Bristol Beaufighter, Hawker Typhoon, Super. Spitfire Mk. IX & XIV, Avro 683 Lancaster, Fairey Swordfish, De Hav. Mosquito

Japan - Nakajima B5N Kate, Aichi D3A Val, Mitsubishi G4M Betty, Mitsubishi J2M Raiden Jack, Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu Nick, Nak. Ki-43 Hayabusa Oscar, Kawasaki Ki-61 & 100 Hein Tony

Others - Sav.-March. S.M. 79 Sparviero (Italy), Cant Z. 1007 Alcione (Italy), Dewoitine D 520 (France), Potez 633 (France), Fokker D.XXI.(Netherlands), PZL P.37 Los (Poland).

But even after these there would still be dozens left.

What I would though like to see is some carrier and night fighter missions.

Well, I just read Oleg post regarding "what it takes to model bomber" and I guess it'll be awhile on the FW200 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif No worries Oleg, I know this game is difficult and much work goes into the work. I salute each one of you for your efforts. In a way though, you are responsible for this unyeilding desire for more and more since you built such a FANTASTIC AND OUTSTANDING game in the first place http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif *Sigh....I patiently await the arrival of any heavy bomber for this game with one eye on the clock of course :lol Thanks for the many hours of fun!! p.s. But if you do have a roll out schedule for this FW200 I am all ears http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'd worry less about the new aircraft and worry more about the proper FM/DM being attributed to the game/planes. If you rush things, a poor product can result and then the rest of the game suffers.

And, by the by, Oleg - what happened to the WWI patch that was talked about last year for IL2-FB? That would be nice to see, since the J8 does fly rather nicely and I love those old Bipes.

Take care

Simple, because nobody has made a cockpit for them!!!! The cockpit for the J8A is a Finnish variant which has a mixture of English, German and Finnish instruments. Glad cockpits would be totally English and therefore different cockpits altogether for some artist to do. I don't know if anyone is working on those. But there's a chance someone is.

The J8A is flown on the Finnish side, so it's axis. I have been in a J8A campaign for a long time now and it rocks. The weak armament is still able to down 2 or 3 planes a mission sortie for me, with two of those I-16s at times!!!

And to make things even more complex: during that time Finland wasn't allied with Germany, and USSR wasn't allied with western allies but with Nazi-Germany (Molotov-Ribbentrop agreement). Germany even stopped some weapon deliveries to Finland wich would have went through German territory during Winter War.

Thanks for the info. For us historically challenged in terms of aircraft, can we get a list that includes their country of origin? I know some are obvious just by the name but some are not. Thanks!

PS - If not, it would be good to know if they are at least allied or axis.....

well im new here (kinda since ive played online as Zero_R) but i have two things! one! bombers get away too quickly in missions! when you turn to make a pass since you usually start head on which doesnt allow much thinking and aiming since you have to dodge you WILL eventually have to turn to make another pass the bombers will be long gone, even in a me-262! also concerning bombers, the gunners, although toned down, still manage to hit a me-262 doing 620km/h (aboot 375mph) in a turn! i know people whine much on ubi and im trying to avoid becoming one but this is just something i wanted to make known. the other thing (although stupid to ask) is a beaufighter. i know how hard it is to skin interiors and such but as far as i know a beaufighter shouldnt be hard to get cockpit and rear fuselage views (for the gunner) of. the pics should be plentiful as far as things go.it would be a great addition (it isnt ANOTHER "Butcher Bird" after all.) as it is two engined and would be one hell of a challenge to the (VERY) nicely modeled tirpitz! sorry for ranting and keep it up oleg! ~S~!
