While playing Extreme_One's RAF campaign, I had my first successful taran. I went "Winchester" while trying to down a He-111, but realized that I had killed the key gunners. I took off his right elevator, and part of its stabilizer with my prop. I damaged my engine, and was 30 km behind enemy lines. The bomber began losing engine power, and thanks to the damage I inflicted, was not able to safely land. I was at 2500 m's, and still gliding when the mission complete message appeared. I safely dead-sticked the plane at a friendly base, just on my side of the front. The MOST fun I've had from a mission offline . . . EVER!

Sounds like good fun Tsisqua. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you can RTB w/o power, and your method of taking down that HE shows just the kind of fanaticism that the RAF needs. Good work http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Georgeo, I used to be in the RAF112th back in the CFS1 days. It was a good bunch, and those that I do not see anymore are sorely missed. Thanks for callin' me RAF material . . . a compliment indeed.

To those that do not have it yet . . . get this campaign and the goodies that come with it, you won't be sorry.
