Many times rear gunner in my Il2 or Stuka really vastes ammo, but when the situation gets really hot, he, naturally, is ot of it. Especially on Il2 this is important because of low ammo count. Is there an option to switch it off?

thanks,

regards, tt

Actually I dont know if you can "switch him off" but you can try this - in pilots position switch on autopilot ("A" key) then switch to gunner's position and turn off gunner autopilot ("A" again) as if you are going to control gunner manually.... then switch back to pilots position and take autopilot off....and fly plane. It may be that the gunner is still under manual control - I don't know since I dont fly 2 seaters much...

Set a key for "toggle level auto-pilot" which is the same as auto-pilot automation. If you disable this then the autopilot will not kick in automatically after you leave a position, you'll have to press the auto-pilot key manually in order for the auto-pilot to be enabled again.

It could have been done before the patch by going into gunner position and disabling gunner "autopilot".That way,if you left the pilot on manual controls you could control the plane and shoot with the gunner simultaneously. Now when you switch to gunner position, the pilot is set to auto and returning to pilot position automatically enables gunner auto pilot.

yup, just set a key for autopilot automation, turn it off, then you can selectively turn on and off autopilot for gunners, then go back to flying the plane
