This week's development update is now online. We have also added a new poll to let you choose next week's content:

- P-51
- P-63C
- Spitfire MkVb
- TA-152H-1

The two most popular aircraft will be featured in the next update. We'll take into account the results from the polls on all three websites.

Yeah but, we saw the spit in the previous update. (it is the most pretty aircraft in FB, with the ace expansion) So, I want to see the P-63. Haven't seen it in any dev-updates yet.

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge,
ye shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you again.

Nice update, http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Spitfire, Spitfire, Spitfire...
however, I agree with Platypus, as we haven't seen the P-63 yet.

Thanks for the update, looking forward to the 110. Why only four planes in the poll?
Cheers!

The screenshot in the dev. update that really caught my eye was the detail on that battlewagon (is that the Tirpitz ?). Maybe Oleg & co. should start doing naval sims too.

My vote is for the Spit MkV, too. More pictures of the Spit, in VVS livery even better !

Is this the Poll? I vote for P-63C

***
80% of all German casualties in WW2 were on the Eastern Front.
I need to make my pic smaller before i can post it.

Spit, but I still cannot understand why the Mark IX is not included, even the XIV. After all, the expansion pack covers from 1944 on!

Hi all:

Can we give a chance to all the planes? I think it unfair that the late war planes get all the atention...

Can I suggest some battle screens of the Cr.42 VS Gladiator, or some IAR80/81 with G-50 too? Come on, we all know how the 38 or 63 look like, even the Spit got a whole set of pics. I wanna see my plane ,ore clearly! and fighting with its contemporanies! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Oh, thanks

Indeed! I have to agree with Xanty.

The early war years deserve some attention. I'd love to see some action shots with these planes, specially the Gladiator vs the Cr.42 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nice! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

So when Diogenes perceived that he was greatly excited and quite keyed up in mind with expectancy, he toyed with him and pulled him about in the hope that somehow he might be moved from his pride and thirst for glory and be able to sober up a little. For he noticed that at one time he was delighted, and at another grieved at the same thing, and that his soul was as unsettled as the weather at the solstices when both rain and sunshine come from the very same source.

PARDON MY GALACTIC LEVELS OF IGNORANCE,BUT WHAT ARE THE DEVELOPMENT UPDATES FOR EXACTLY?
CAN THEY BE SOMEHOW DOWNLOADED OR ARE THEY JUST A PREVIEW OF WHAT MIGHT BE AVAILABLE IN ANY FUTURE EXPANSION DISCS?

these Dev Updates show you a lot of things that will never never become a part of FB http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif

Come on, relax http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Consider yourselves lucky that 1C and Ubi are whilling to offer such a nice insight into their current development. Of course some of those things won't make it in to the game. That's the whole point! It's a "development" update. If the game was finshed it'll be on the shops...

Just enjoy the show, and consider yourself lucky. This is not a common treat http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The structural model pics are awsome!
Is this a new way to model planes? I noticed that damage model of a P-51 is much better than planes that were in the game from beginning. For example you can see the wing being torn in half with structural elements sticking out.
Are all new additins modeled this way? Will they redo the original set of a/c.

I can't understand why so many vote for the Spit. We just had a development update with Spit Vb only, nothing else. Why again?? I know it's one of the most beautiful WWII planes, and obviously many ppl just can't get enough of it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif - but there are several planes that we haven't seen at all (ingame - not 3DSMax shots), like the Ta-152, the P-63C, Glatiator, CR.42, FW-200... new loadouts http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif (yeah, there are some AFAIK)
Also, I can't get why they have taken the P-51 into that vote. We have one already flyable and the others aren't much different.
I think we will see both Spit and Tank then http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

OK, so the expansion pack will be released looks like next month.
My 2 questions are...

Since you can hardly find IL2-FB on shelves anymore (no one stocks it, it would seem), will the Aces Expansion pack be released concurently with the Gold Pack and a re-release of the IL2-FB???

Just exactly WHY is it no longer available on shelves?????

Pretty pictures are nice, however, I'd like an update as to when we might me getting the expansion pack. I'm not impatient here, just curious. I'd rather have it right, instead of right now. With that in mind, we were told something like mid Feburary 2004. Let me clarify by saying I'm not trying to hang anyone with a date. We all know these are estimates and great games take time! Still, I'm not eggheaded enough to pre-order it because of my belief that this will help foster the delay of its release rather than speed it along. Like I say, all I'm looking for is your best S.W.A.G. here.
