I think there were combats occuring on the in-game Kursk map, both during fall 1941 and the Soviet 41/42 winter offensive.

A winter version of the Kursk map could be a valuable addon with less work than a brand new map

Bearcat was kind enough to post this thread describing the details of how maps are added to AEP.

I found it informative and learned a few things that helped me put the process in perspective.

very interesting info.

I think that steps 1 and 2 would be much lighter if you "winterize" an already existing map, than if you build a brand new map.

BTW, I think the same goes for Prokhorovka

I'll bump this one, and add winter maps could also be used for Crimea, Kuban and Smolensk historical missions
