View Full Version : Lancaster Crew Audio Recordings

I don't know if this has been posted before, if it has just see this as a reminder. These three mp3 files are recordings that were made by the BBC inside Lancaster bombers during combat missions. Terrifying yet very interesting. These guys can really keep their cool, but at times you really can hear the tension in their voices, and also release when they down a enemy fighter.

Be sure to read the transcripts as you listen, easier to follow.

ob sent me this link last week. Some very interesting audio there. I spent about an hour cruising through the site reading and listening.

A speck of dirt on your windscreen could turn into an enemy fighter in the time it took to look round and back again. A little smear on your goggles might hide the plane that was coming in to kill you.
