Why Pacific?, i think that Med theater is better because it demands less work to enjoy it (only scenario and some planes). What do you think about that?, it would be possible?.
Thanks

I would love to see a Mediterranean scenario. Not having anything with me being a "mediterranian" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

Imagine the possibilities - Yugoslav campaign, Greek campaign, Crete, North African campaign, Sicilian campaign and Italian campaign (in chronological order)... ahhh!

All we need are new maps, that's all.

Jasko

I quite agree. I too would prefer the Med. I think it was a commercial descision to go with the Pacific because of the potential sales in the US. At the end of the day money talks.

I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as member!

Cause the pepole that Licensed the code and such from Oleg wanted to do the PTO. Now if you want to do the same thing im sure Oleg will license the code and such to you so you can make a med flight sim.

In the ORR, Oleg already stated that he would be making a new on-line desert map. He asked everyones' opinion and that was the most popular choice. It will probably come out some time later this year.

We already have all the planes that fought there, so it looks loke the Med will be either a mission/campaign builders area or on-line.
I think they are too busy with BOB to keep putting out expansions.

With Luthier & Starshoy, both doing new theatres, maybe one of them will work on it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Please keep in mind, Oleg has already stated that once BoB is done they will be going after the Mediterranean. He says thats a for sure, 100% chance of happening.

Mediterranea is quite a broad area. Anyone have any idea of which areas will be covered?

The official Med will be under th BoB engine I am thinking... but like bb said.. we already have most of the planes so all it is is a matter of maps and maybe a few planes.. but we have enough right now to do a decent Med setup.

well, yes, we do have most of the planes . . . . . but not the correct models. All the aircraft in North Africa were saddled with larger and more imposing air filters. The difference is more than cosmetic, there was also a performance hit and in some cases it was a severe one.

Knowing Oleg & Co.'s desire for accuracy, the models and FMs would have to be modified, so it is not quite as easy as it originally might seem.

I can't wait to see the Hurricane with the sand-filter. They look _really_ cool!

I agree with your sentiments entirely but for correct chronological sequence, North Africa needs to come first.

The Italian Army invaded Egypt on 13 September 1940, starting in earnest their war against the British. [They had made some other moves before this, for example the invasion of British Somaliland on August 3 and after Egypt they also invaded Greece on October 28.]

Rommel's North African force was assembling in February 1941 and was on the offensive by the end of March.

The German invasion of Yugoslavia and Greece began on April 6 1941.
