I guess because this patch is an AEP patch for those who continue to invest their money in 1c's products. I take as their way of saying thanks and here's a few fixes and some extra planes for you, the consumer, who continually supports us and our work. FB is continually evolving my friend. And AEP is the next step. Plus, it's worth every penny. Not only for AEP, but the creators continual support of its product. Just my humble opinion. S!

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif what Quazimotto said, think of all the extra goodies we get in terms of planes, maps and further development on what is essentially a 18 month old game (FB I mean) I think it has been more than worth the 10.98 I paid - I have had more expensive nights out (and cr@p ones at that) to be honest I've had more fun out of AEP and it has lasted much longer http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Have to agree with you ASM 1. To me these days the 14 I paid or whatever is not a big amount of money for what you get back. Plus game developers don't always get things right first time they are human after all. A lot of the work done on the patch for AEP is for nothing which is great considering software programmers salleries. Most developers are only interested in the initial release, then they move on to the next shoot em up or platform game. After that your on your own and probably wishing to pay a little extra money, either to have something else included or fixed. The only down side of getting AEP is that it'll keep you away from doing things that may improve your mind such as reading a good book.

We better all hope that Oleg doesn't get bored with this genre and/or decide that it is not worth his time and considerable talents and go elsewhere with said time and talents. Just my $0.02 worth, but the fact that the faithful consumer is shown consideration in terms of patches and free addons speaks volumes about his commitment to the IL2/FB/AEP/PF/BoB community. Who else do you know that offers this kind of support?

I have never known a developer to support their Sims like 1C does before.
I can still remember a post by Oleg in the early days of IL-2, where he said that their Policy was "Listen Users"

Hmmm I thought this sounds good!

Oleg has certainly stayed true to that Policy, and it really has paid off BIG TIME! for 1C, and for the end user.

Everybody wins, except the competition (chuckle)

It does not matter if you always agree with everything Oleg says about WWII planes. You cannot dispute the fact that 1C/Maddox games has provided unprecedented FREE updates and patches for the continued loyalty and support of their products. They listen and support this product well beyond the average gaming house and constantly provide more bang per buck than any other sim in the history of gaming period.

How much would you have had to spend for CFS3 to get half of what is already in FB? NO my friend I RAN to the store to pluck down my $25.00 for AEP with a big fat smile on my face, knowing the true pleasures that were awaiting me in that fantastic add-on AEP.
