View Full Version : Dedicated server setup.. need help

Hi!

Im trying to set up a dedicated server, ive got the program and updated it to 1.21,ive got it to start but icant change the map i whant to play on.And i cant change the difficult setting,ive tried to read the readme but i dont understand it,is their a way to paste in the configfiles which map i whant to have and what difficulty, ive read in the readme and it says something about the config file but as said i dont really understand what it means since my english is not good in technical terms please can some one help me!

Look for my post 2nd from the top.

It is easiest to add these parameters in your server.cmd file, the link above explains how to do that as well as add difficulty settings.


To specifically change a mission in the DS console (and not from the PC you are flying from)

type:

mission END
mission LOAD (path to mission)
mission BEGIN

These are case sensitive.

For example:

mission END (puts everyone in game to the mission loading screen)

mission LOAD net\dogfight\ 1\onlinesummer1.mis

mission BEGIN



You can load any mission file as long as you have the path correct.

In this case net\dogfight\ 1\ is the same as c:\program files\ubi soft\IL2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\missions\net\dogfight\ 1


Be sure to put all the missions you want to run in a single place, I created a folder called Server

net\dogfight\server


because it's easier to type.
