Exactly how much head movement is involved in looking around in game? I just have this image of me looking sideways at my monitor trying to aquire a bandit to turn my head enough to look for him. I'm really considering getting one, but I'm just curious of the fluidity (word?) and ease of use, head movement required, when in game.

You need only small head movements to move your view around. You will never loose the sight of your monitor, dont worry. And its adjustable so u can make your own profile. I bought TIR3 some months ago and will never again play without it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

Once you have configured the profile to your liking you will only require minor head movement. I am using it and never find my self squinting out the side of my head http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

There is no need to turn or twist your head to get the TIR to respond. Just move your head ( the dot) sideways,up and down while facing straight, like an owl. All the TIR sees is the movement of the reflective dot in X and Y. And the response is adjustable in all directions.

mine is set as when i look straight with the head, then move head the max headmovement needed is at the edge of the monitor screenglas,(meaning not the plastic frame around moniter)i have downloaded charvels tir setting and is the one whom gives me most pleasure with tir,it has a slow centerpointwhich mean theirs not much head movement when centered but then moves fast to left/right.I dont know where i found it,think it was at naturalpoints page.

You don't have to use peripheral vision as you can still see the entire screen with very small head movements. The biggest thing for me to get used to was the speed of response. Once you've grown used to that aspect, it's a piece of cake.

I think all your questions have been answered http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I really think you will like it. I think they may even have a 30 day money back no-questions ask return policy (ask about it). Which should give you ample time to try it out and make sure you like it. I'll help you get it setup and get used to it if you have any problems.

just to beat a dead donkey...get it! I was a one time skeptic and now I love that frickin' thing. Do a cost comparison and you'll see the that the price is more than a bargain for the techmologie. will not disappoint. Respeck!

And if you are into flightsims, then there is no reason to not try it. Lomac works with TIR, even M$ FS is supported ... and at least for Lomac and FB: its just freaking cool.

Whenever I start FB without TIR-support or forgot my little dots, I feel "trapped" in my cockpit and cant fight (maybe since I dont have view-control-keys assigned anymore (except "center")). Flying in "full real" conditions is so much better.

In the beginning I suggest, that you turn sensitivity *way* down ... or the first day will be torture. And just then you will realize how much you move your head when "dodging" the enemy or when shooting the bastard. But after a while this is much more controlled and then you will add sensitivity/response for faster reactions (and less head-movement).

One more thing. When (not if) you end up getting it, make sure you set up a generous "dead-zone". It will greatly aid in gunnery.

I achieve full range of ingame viewing with only 1 to 2 inches of actual head movement. TiR3 Pro is so much better than my original TiR1! The panning is now identially as smooth and fluid as mouse look.

Thanks guys! I'll probably be looking into it a bit more later down the road. But you've definitely given me something to think about! Thanks again....
