Zoiks - I'd better start saving for a new comp; that's there some high poly stuff (especially the scenery).

Roger that. It's definitely bombed London. I can tell that by seeing the photo for a hundredth of a second. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Look at the detail, it's awesome. You can even see the houses' internal stairs... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

That B.P. Defiant looks beautiful, I hope it's both flyable and able to have a manned rear gunner. That'd be just fantastic!

I'd say some sort of French bomber by the sounds of it.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

p1ingu666 just beat me to it. I wanted someone to post any information on the BR-20M (?), since a pit is being modeled for it and it looks to be a flyable plane.

Goody, I like learning about new aircraft, and if BOB is as much an educational tool as IL-2 was for the Eastern Front, it's all good.

Thanks for the link Hunger.

There were Italian units participating in BOB (or just Italian aircraft) ? That's the first time I've learned that.

Ok here is a report on the sad story of the Corpo Aereo Italiano in Bob.

There was a great line I read in a biography recently, must look it up. Something about one squadron of RAF fighters sighting some Italian planes, being asked where they were by another RAF squadron and not telling the second lot as it was "unfair" on the Italians.

They were considered a bit of light relief and easy kills compared to the Germans.

Cheers, Spinner

A flyable BR-20M. That's great. I assume that all the german bombers will be flyable too.

De Defiant looks like the nightfighterversion. Wil we have a nightfightercampaign available?

Everything looks super amazing http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif, perhaps too amazing - are these models showing the poly count we can expect in the game or will the poly's be reduced?

I personally think this is the LOD we can expect in the game, because we can expect a huge increase graphically over FB and all BoB updates so far show similar detail on all models both inside and out, hopefully I am right on this http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Look at the bombed out buildings, I hope that there will be good aminations and smoke/fire to go along with these.

I think, technology allowing, that this should be improved upon alot - that being the destruction of the landscape and objects, since we mud movers hit this stuff the most, it really brings a sense of satisfaction to the sim.

Not complaining about what we currently have, I don't think tech allows for it, just evelutionary migration.

Fantastic as it is, if landscape is at this level, I doubt any rig to be capable of manage such 3d ecstasy with a minimum of fluidness. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I´m working my #ss off to get a rig that can handle BOB.. Cpu:AMD FX-53 or better, x800XT minimum , PCI express recommended and 2048mb of FAST ram..And thats probably not enough..

I think BoB stuff is designed for the skinners and screenshot makers, not for online play http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

IL-2 was very playable online. FB is no longer playable (lot of lag and stutter in MP - the fluidity is no longer here. BoB... that can only be worse.

The design of the pacific addons seems to be thought more rationnaly (poly count look like it is still within acceptable limits)

I know it's a WIP shot, but I do hope the guys working on the GWR steam locomotive move the front buffer housings out to the track gauge width, rather than sat side by side as shown.

glad somebody else thinks the lag is bad in FB AEP. I always looked for my rig to be short of processing power and virtual memory but now think it is embedded in program...bad lags plus bad pilot (myself) equals lots of kills for the other guys

I dont want to be picky but the loco's buffers should be at the ends of the buffer beam and not in the centre.and most british locos were painted black for the duration. Otherwise great model
