sorry for posting this twice (once in mission builder forum)
but i am keen to get somem info on how to run a scripted server (and the language used etc...)

i know the following questions may be a little simple or odd but i have absolutely NO knowledge of online, campaigns, missions or even dogfights. Therefore i would be extremely grateful if someone could either give or point me towards somewhere containing the following information:

1) the scripts used to create scripted online DF - eg where there is a set amount of pilots and planes (i have heard mention of "BadBernie" inventing stuff like this?

2) any peripheral information that i would need to know in order to set up a server running one of these scripts

3)any information any any DYNAMIC campaigns that are being run online in FB at the minute

i will be very grateful for any (Mainly Techinical)information on the above subjects, it will help me LOADS, so thank you in advance for any responses /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

even if you just have a bit of info on one of the questions i would love to hear from you----

thank you once again,

fluke

thats where you get the scripting program. The zip file comes with a sample mission and a sample properties file. Open the properties file and look at the numbers in :'s Those represent the various scored targets and there is a legend of sorts at the bottome of the file.

I suggest to PM BadBernie or Sammie here in the UBI forum. I would be willing to bet they'd be glad to help.

the sample mission is called "stuka3" i believe. the properties for the script (number of planes, pilots, targets, etc.) are listed in the description box of the mission and in the properties file. if you open up the stuka3 mission in FMB you can find the settings it uses under the -ARMY FBD- tag. you just need these lines of code in a mission description for the mission to be able to run with a script. so if you wanted to make your own script map, you'd need to add it in. hope that helps.

Better yet, visit the forums at greatergreen.com. Those are the official forums for FBD, and that is where you will find most of the answers you seek for this tool. There are many helpful visitors that can assist, including BadBernie and myself.

Zen, hope all is well. Haven't had the pleasure of chatting with you much lately, but I hope to see ya soon.

Here comes the shameless ad :

http://fbmc.sourceforge.net/downloads/fbmc.v07dev.build1092.zip

It can read the old FBD-format and some small things more, runs also under Linux and is still in kind of Pre-Beta /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Testers always welcome.
Comes with 2 Demo-Missions and a small manual in HTML-format.
