1 Well i got this idea afther reading several books about aerial combat, there shuld be an option to disable the kill mesages, and the other mesages, to make it more realistic and more fun, and more realistic of the behavior of the players online, i mean in reality u didnt know if u killed the pilot of the enemy plane, or who did u just shoot down, or who just bail out, there shuld be a place in time where u see the enemy plane diving wiht smoke, and ask ur self if his pilot is death or he lost his controls, wiht the actual mesages u can tell, ho i just killed his pilot... so u dont give him more amo, or u go afther another person.... so i belive it would be very nice to have that, would give the dogfight a more realistic behavior of all player... u dont know if ur wingman was just blown into pieces by me and u are next http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

2 there has been alot of complain of how it would be nice to have mobible heads, or points of vision from the copit, well you said no i belive, i have think about it, on how in real life a pilot had alot of better visivility than in simulators, as he could move his head around, well, what i am thinking is like it is now, i use the arrows in my joystick to move my vision around inside the copit, and in moves lets say 25 grades each time i press it, and my point of view always stays at the middle, exsample, when i would look to the right and down, i mostly look at the interior right side of the copit, it would be nice if ur point of view would automacly move to the right so when u look right and down, u would not look the inside of the copit mostly, but have a better vision of what is under u, the same when looking all the way to ur tail, or to the other side of ur copit.. i wonder if u guys can understend what i mean, http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Regarding your first idea:

There is the possiblity to switch off kill messages already. You can turn them off with the program "IL-2 Shturmovik Stab". It can be downloaded here.

http://www.users.on.net/mjtm/IL-2/

But unfortunatly, it will switch off ALL HUD-Messages like throttle and overheating too. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

Maybe you can switch off kill messages manually in the the conf.ini, or maybe another program like il-2 manager has this option.

Good luck,

From my understanding the second idea isn't possible in this sim or in PF, it may be posible in BOB. From what I read it has to do with how the cockpits are modled, any polys that would not be visible from the fixed head position do not exist. Once you moved the head some of these missing polys would be visible. So all the cockpits would have to be redone.
