Just when I thought I was getting somewhere with all my control issues !!!!! Now when attepmting to assign Pitch Roll ect in the Hotas section, When I click to highlight, the area will not stay highlighted and just randomly assigns some control input . This is in F.B. This happened before which at that point I just put it away for awhile. using WXP, Saitek 45/CH Pedals any fix ??

Without more info, it's hard to give advice. Try this. Go to Hardware setup on Main menu. Go to Input. Turn up your Dead Band filter temporarily. Now go to HOTAS setup button at bottom of page and try to assign your axis again. You might have spiky/sensitive pots and they're causing your problem. Otherwise, be more specific and post in the Community Help Forum. There's some real wizards over there, that can help much better than I can. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Good luck, and

Good hunting,

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

One of your controller axes is generating random inputs large enough to set the axis assignment. The only thing I can suggest is trying to "beat the cut" by making your chosen axis movement as quickly as possible after clicking on the appropriate control, the idea being to give the game something to assign before the random input shows up.

To help out, check the properties of each controller in Windows Gaming Options to see if you can identify which axis is twitchy and if you can nudge it slightly one way or another to reduce the random inputs.
