Seaplane Servers will Rule!

And any map with a coastline will do, just set takeoff waypoints thousands of kilometers off map over the water in the mission text file. Actually, I dunno if that works for the onwhine servers but you can trick the FMB with it.

Never thought of this, there are cockpit pics of sunk H8K. All the FB Modders must learn scuba diving!!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

...or deap sea diving, if needed, for the FB.

I've been on an online AI enabled server witht he PBN etc. They had an airbase set up in the water we could fly from.

I definatly got up to 200kph on the water and boated my way to the enemy base (I had to navigate a river and dodge some bridge pylons.) then I popped up last second , flew over the base, dropped my bombs (with a hefty delay on them), and then touched down in a river on the other side, made my way back to the bay, and boated back to my airbase (I was being strafed this whole time.)

The reason I skimmed the water is that when you loose a wing in the air, you are fubared, but on the water, if you react quickly enough and manage your engines and trim well, you don't need wings.

had the wings shot off my sea faring JU52 once
(BOTH OF THEM ! ! !) just as i touched down

a guy on my side delt to the aggressor as i boated back home : ) )

There is a Emily[Kawanishi H8K] in Norfork Va. USA. I believe it is the last of it's kind. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Can't wait for flying boats...such elegant machines...

Now, can someone tell me how exactly to put an airbase in the water? Can I do this on a DF map?
