Very interesting read to say the least. I had no idea the Nazis ever developed such a contraption. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

well we learn something new every day ! What a strange yet practical device http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif
Imagine though, being 400ft up when you spot a group of Liberators coming straight at you. The sub would have to dive and leave you swimming for it !

I saw some footage of one of these being used once. Can't remember the programme exactly, it was something either on the history channel or discovery channel.

Wonder if that's on the web anywhere, I'll have a search for it. Unless someone's already got a link.

Is it too much asked that the germans which fought in the second world war are named as "Germans" and not as "Nazis"?

I hope that the writer knows that there is a similar difference that not every US-citizen is a member of the Klu-Klux-Klan.

Many thanks in advance!

BTW: Yes, you are right: I'm a German http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
