The ski equipped J8 likes to nose over during landing.
I found that if you keep the engine revved at about 25% power during the final landing stage... it lands pretty good, even on a rough surface and handles fairly decent on the ground. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

sounds kind of correct to me, a lot of nose over when trying to land a J8A with skis did happen.

Thanx for the advice...3 days to go http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You are probably coming in too fast!?!?! I saw this post and just had to try it, since it was news to me that the J8A had winter skis anyway.
Nice touch, Oleg!! But getting back to the point, I tried landing it with skis 20 times and never once had any trouble at all. I never seem to have any trouble landing anything in this game, even the first time I try landing any certain plane. Not bragging though. Just have a knack for it. I find that the proper approach speed in the J8A is about 110 to 120 KPH, then flare so as to touch down about 80 to 90Kph, which will give you a nice 3 point landing in most cases. Do not carry power as you say, this is not necesary and pilots rarely carry power on landing so it's not realistic. With the skis, make sure you maintain some back pressure on the stick until you get to a stop or near stop. You will never have a nose over this way. I have tracks to prove my claims. I hope this helps you guys.......
