In the QuickMissionBuilder QMB on the "Online_Island-Map", there is a hook like atoll between the main islands.

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/01_Insel_1.jpg

After a hard dogfight, I imagine that on this island a few girls are awaiting me with a cool longdrink. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

A Spit on Final:

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/02_Spit_approach.jpg

It looks easier than it really is. The Spit is the wrong plane to start with, because she's a *****. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/03_Spit.jpg

What is working with the Spit, it does as well with the Gustav ...

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/04_Gustav.jpg

... the Hurricane (a good plane to start with) ...

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/05_Hurri.jpg

... the Fiat G50 ...

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/06_G50.jpg

... the biplane Fiat CR42 (I started with this one, but it's not easy) ...

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/07_CR42.jpg

... the Gladiator ...

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/08_Gladiator.jpg

Sooner or later it works with every single engined plane, so why not try it with one engine more:

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/09_P-38_approach.jpg

It works ! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/34.gif

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/10_P-38.jpg

Another 2-engined plane:

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/11_Bf-110.jpg

This is a hard one. Have a look at the belly and the wings: 2000lbs of bombs !

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/12_P-47.jpg

If this was too easy, try the "secret runway" of the inner beach of the island:

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/13_Insel_2.jpg

A Hurri on short final to the "Inner-Runway":

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/14_Hurri_approach.jpg

Take care: Palms !!!

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/15_Hurri_approach_2.jpg

Sight from the beach.

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/16_Hurri_approach_3.jpg

Stopped loooooooong before the runway ended. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/17_Hurri_inner.jpg

The "Inner-Runway" has zero tolerance and sh!t happens all the time: http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/18_Hurri_crash.jpg

It even works with the Me-163 on the "Inner-Runway". Look the palms: close call. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/19_Me163.jpg

The jets are the most difficult ones because of the landing speed and the fragile landing gear. This He-162 has become a pair of X-shaped legs. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

http://www.i-sol.ch/secret/20_He-162_crash.jpg

I tried it with the Me-262 so many times, that I forgot to shoot a Screeny when it finally worked. But it is possible. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Both runway are very close to "zero tolerance" but the "Inner-Runway is more difficult because the approach is over the palms top.

Any more landing artists around here ????

The Me-262? You must be jocking. I can barely land it in a good concrete field! Screens please.

Seriously, very nice screens http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

As pingu said, it's cool landing a B-17 on that island.

A fighter is easy compared to landing such a 4-engined monster.

But anyway, S! to your flying skills! Nice screenies!

I love landing planes in odd ways. I've landed 262s at over 550kph with no landing gear, and i can land a pony upside down (losing the vertical stabilizer, ofcourse)

I have managed to land on the snow cap of the big mountain and using full power taxy the last bit till i was sitting on the top of that mountain http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif map 4 ?? tried it with the storch but ran out of fuel before i got up that high lol

The gear just sank into the ground when I stopped, but made it ok otherwise. Secret is to skim the coast and avoid the trees all together.
