OK, first, I'm asking here because right now, few folks are over at Lowengrin's http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I dl'd DCG. I set the path for it. So here's my first question- I am running Il*2:FB under a program that enables the swastika on Luftwaffe aircraft. I set the path to that...and I seem to have troubles. IS the reason for this that I set the DCG path to the hakenkreuz executable?

Second- Is DCG running independently of FB?

Third- I cannot find any missions, and I cannot find any 'squad files' anywhere. Did I get a corrupted download with files missing?

Fourth- I was surprised to see so many versions of DCG. I can't find any definite answers on which one I should intsall for FB. Do I need them all and newer ones upgrade the old ones? It seems not, but I'm unsure. I read over at Lowengrin's site that versions below 2.50 (I think) need to be used with FB. SO does that mean I need the version above 2.50 or whatever, and then all the rest? Or should I just dl the latest one?

I am really confused by now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

It is best to post your questions at the DCG forum. I just happen to look in here today. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I am trying to fill in for Paul while he is away.

Set DCG to an FB executable, not a hakenkreuz executable.

DCG generates missions that FB uses. It places them in the correct folder so when you pick an FB mode to play, you will find your mission there. If you use either auto-gen or the DGen or NGen replacements, FB will call and open DCG temporarily to create the next mission, then close it again.

Read the mode instructions at www.lowengrin.com (http://www.lowengrin.com). It explains how to create campaigns for the various FB play modes. There is a global button you can use to create campaigns if you don't use the DGen or NGen replacement options. Squadrons.dcg will be found in the campaign folder, once you create a campaign.

Version 2.53 supports IL-2, IL-2 FB and AEP. That is why is it important you point to the correct FB executable. You are telling DCG which version you are using. There is an option to check off to tell DCG if you are using the AEP add-on or not. You don't need any other version.

Read through all the basic instructions at the DCG website, then post your additional questions back in the DCG forum as you play with DCG.

Thanks for your time.

I read everything I could find on it over there. I have all the instructions printed out. I am the type who reads the rule book http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I still had some questions, and there were two members over there...so I posted here.
