We're currently working on getting out the forum guidelines and they will include information about size and content in sigs.

We should be posting the guidelines in the near future.

My previous one was "And the storyteller will be alive - and it will be me".

Now I have the one below. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (Yes, I know they are a little boring...)

my sig's been kindof a lifelong mantra, not too mention my avatar name in URU on the Katran server. Then i just had to add a couple of Dory's lines from Finding Nemo, cause they are guaranteed to crack me up!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Sig definition according to www.dictionary.com:

2. <messaging> (Or sig) A few lines of information about the sender of an electronic mail message or news posting.
Most Unix mail and news software will automagically append a signature from a file called .signature in the user's home directory to outgoing mail and news.

A signature should give your real name and your e-mail address since, though these appear in the headers of your messages, they may be munged by intervening software. It is currently (1994) hip to include the URL of your home page on the World-Wide Web in your sig.

The composition of one's sig can be quite an art form, including an ASCII logo or one's choice of witty sayings (see sig quote, fool file). However, large sigs are a waste of bandwidth, and it has been observed that the size of one's sig block is usually inversely proportional to one's prestige on the net.

I noticed there weren't many sigs here. I don't have a sig, but I like this one, so just pretend it's mine http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

so many topics have been ruined on account of my sig

so i changed it to something that is more of an inside joke, but is still funny... in my opinion...

I like to have a banner and some useful/amusing links in my Sig, I especialy like having the "Smialies" link as it's useful for getting easy acess to smialies on the PicturePooling account.
I've got an album of my Revelation Banners Here (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=311106333&m=7131057422&r=7131057422#7131057422) for anyone to use.

Now, where on earth did you find that 'Prison Age' link, SF? Quite original, I may say. Too bad that if I use it, say in an AIM profile, not many people would understand what the heek I would be talking about.

I found a prison age link disguised as a spoiler tag in the signiture of The Parrot (http://www.uruobsession.com/forum/index.php?s=929523b1f8970281cf72e2fc3e5685d9&act=Profile&CODE=03&MID=5690) on the UO forums. If you look at the bottom of the page you see a link that makes you one of your own http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (Thats of course how I got mine)
