Hi All,
just started playing il2-fb couple of days ago. I remember reading some where that in the dynamic campaign the aircrafts one encounters is influenced by how many and whay type the player turns up destroying? I was wondering if the number of aircrafts encountered also goes down?
Does destroying static aircrafts parked on the fields make a difference too?

Do destroying fuel trucks, or any other buildings effect the enemy ability or are they just for show?

Does AI gunner and fighter pilots get effected by sun? That is if i dived on a bomber out of the sun would it effect AI accuracy?

Few escort missions that i have played so far. The bombers seem to fly ahead of us into the enemy and get shot out of the sky even before we the escort can catch up!

The missions that generate in the campaign, do they have any logical link between them? or are they random mission types that get picked like in the user made randomly branched campaigns.

What I was wondering is if we are tasked to defend a convoy and failed to do so does it impact the next mission. My impression is that i cant go ahead in the campaign by faiing a mission, so the next mission must assume its success and be either scripted or randomly generated but not linked by some piece of logic to the last event in the war.

Which brings me to my next question I seem to successfuly complete all patrol missions to defend convoys, bridges etc, even though the enemy succefuly bombs them! We do shoot the fighters down but often cant even touch the bombers.

The fights are fought to the last man!

Mission building
- is there any way to add re-arm or refueling ability while in mission?
-Historicaly, was the pe8(?) much tougher than the b17? It sure feals like it. I find it easy to kill b17s (ace) with hurri-38 than taking out pe-8s.

How to shoot accurately as a gunner. I cant hit anything with it while the AI hits me at extreme ranges with short 1 sec bursts!

Flying techniques

So far I dive on the bombers at about 80 degrees! I look to hoze the cocpit or engin areas been working realy well. So far I can kill em withough much pings on me in either the campaign or the QMB. Was wondering what most people do? Rear aproach, sides or dives?

and lastly I love the 12 .303 on the hurri b(?), I thought they would do much to the b17s but they tear them appart, provided you learn to hit em at convergance

i meant to say that the .303 would NOT do much damage to the B17s. However they seem quite effective provided I hit the bombers at the convergance distance (250m for me).

Before you start a new campaign go into the realism settings and turn off "No Instant Success". As long as you don't get killed or crash land the plane you can go to the next mission.
