heh
Lately I was running after a Pe3 in my B-239
the guy was leaking oil from both engines. I could not catch with him while he was climbing so it took forever but still, never the engines had a failure like it would have happened like in a 110. okay after a long while there was this screeching noise that tells ya that the engine were starting to overheat but never the performances of the Pe3 started to decrease.

After something like 20 minutes I gave up, the guy got away.

Also I noticed that the Yaks and the Laggs (using variants of Klimov's liquid cooled engines) almost never leak oil...is that because of the oil radiator being very well protected or something? I'd like to know

thx

Russian engines, weaponry and everything else have been far better then anything else, if FB is not valid proof for you, then go and buy LOMAC http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Altitude, speed, manoeuvre and.... CRASH!

wow I sure hope thats not going to be the best post in my thread... :P

eum cmon Im sick of the "OLEG is biased" ranting

if you think that the Russian engines are better than everything else just attack 111's with a La5

one bullet, no more engine

yeah! Try attacking 111's in a P-40E M-105 field mod, your engine goes quite easily after a few hits.
